Dear Diary, September 8th, 2014
Everyone stared at me as I walked through the school. I tried to use my hair as a curtain but they still saw through it. My teachers sent me worried glances, and students whispered by name as I passed them. When I came across Stacy she went to give me her signature smirk before a look of horror crossed her face. She saw it. She saw the scar. She kept her eyes on me until I turned the corner, out of her sight. Lunch was worse as no one talked, only whispers left the lips of those residing in the large room. Wary glances directed towards me as I walked to my table. Why won't they just drop it? Once school was over and I was on the bus the whispers didn't subside. A stray note landed in my lap as the bus went silent. I slowly un-crumbled the piece of note paper to find a crudely drawn image of a belt with the words "Is this what happened?" scribbled at the top. I sucked in a breath of air as I ripped the paper and threw it to the ground, wiping away a single tear in the process ...
