Theo is kissing me. Like lips pressed against mine, kissing me. I want to pull back but I can't. This is my first kiss after all. But I don't understand. When he finally pulls back I'm confused.
"What the hell was that?" I exclaim. Theo blushes slightly and its so cute that I could- No, bad girl Lolli. Very, very bad girl.
"How did you go from hating me to that?" It is the only snarky comment I can think of.
"I told you that I don't hate you," Theo says sheepishly.
"What about fifth grade?" I inquire.
"Well, most people were rude to me when I moved but you were nice. I remember you offering to help me with my art project but I told you to go away," he recalls. "That was because I wasn't sure how to feel. I was used to feeling out of my comfort zone with everyone but then you actually tried to befriend me and I just felt jittery."
What. Just. Happened?
"And, look, about before-" Theo starts but I stop him by grabbing his face in my hands and pressing my mouth against his.
I think I realized that I liked him when he poured his soul out to me. Or maybe it happened before that and I never realized. At that moment, I couldn't bring my self to care. Theo kisses me back almost immediately. Our lips move in sync for a while before we pull back to catch our breath.
His eyes are filled with excitement as he says, "I really really like you."
"I really like you too." I respond before he pulls me in for another kiss.
