Everything about Janice is alluring. Even the way she relentlessly refuses to admit her feelings for Reed is beautiful. I love that she is not easily intimidated. But time was of the essence right now. I wanted her on my side. I needed her to testify in my favor at any cost. No, my need to have her warming my bed was still what I wanted. It was the thing I was looking forward to, a lot. Since meeting her, not one night had passed where I had not fantasized about her naked, withering under me, moaning and coming to my name as I entered her repeatedly.
I would be lying if I said that finding out that she was interested in Reed hadn't bothered me. And I wasn't sure if she would be desperate enough to help me if I were to promise her Reed, but luckily, her past had surfaced. And now I knew something about her that could destroy her present.
Janice stares at me like a deer caught in headlights. Her breaths caress my face. She doesn't move even though I had let go of her.
"I don't know what you are talking about." She says after a long pause. If I didn't know better, I would have believed her. She turns, once again trying to get away without answering me. I can't have that. I snake my arms around her slender waist and hear her gasp. Her body shudders. "Mr. Drew, this is sexual harassment." I can feel that she is trying hard to sound calm and unbothered, but the slight tremble in her voice gives her away. "Sure, you do, love."
"I don't. Let go or..."
Her defiance arouses me more than it should. "Or what, love? Will you call the police? Are you sure you want to do that?" I kiss the nape of her neck. "I will drag you down with me, love. It's a lose-lose situation however you look at it." I turn her around in my arms. Her eyes are like daggers. Beautiful.
"Let me go, and then we can talk." She finally says what I have been waiting to hear. Even though I don't want to, I step away. "Why didn't you say so earlier? We could have avoided all this."
Janice rolls her eyes; she doesn't seem the least bit perturbed. Instead, she smirks. "How and when did you find out?" She demands, scanning the room before pulling out a chair and sitting on it cross-legged.
"Does it matter?" I walk over to her intending to work out a deal. She shakes her head and pushes the chair away with her foot. "Pour me a drink first." She points at my drink. "I will have what you are having.
I oblige her. She takes a sip and tilts her head, giving me a once-over. "I don't care how, but I would like to know when you found out."
"When you were with the kids."
"Well, fuck." She mutters and pinches the bridge of her nose. "What do you propose?" She jumps right to the point.
The change in her attitude takes me by surprise. It was hard to believe that this was the same woman who had acted all innocent and pure just moments ago.
She quirks her brow and takes another sip. "What?" She leans in and smirks. "Cat caught your tongue?" Chuckling, she glances at the door. "Is it locked?"
What's going on that mind of yours, woman?
I nod. Unexpectedly, Janice approaches me and straddles my lap. "You know, had I met you earlier, I might have developed the hots for you instead of Doctor Reed." Her eyes come to rest on my crotch. She rolls her hips, and I suppress a moan. "Unfortunately, I met Alex first."
"Does it matter? We don't have to be soulmates to fuck around. Janice," Her name rolls off my lips like vintage wine: smooth and full. I reach for her breasts, but she stops me wandering hands. "Maybe, later. I haven't got all day, David." She cups my face and traces my lips. I almost moan again. I had expected her to be such a tease.
