Chapter 2 *First "Date"*

7:00rolled around and I heard my dad yell he was here. I ran to the mirror to do one last check. I had put on a little tight black dress with red heels, cmaking sure it complimented my red lipstick and my long black hair I had curled. I put on a little more makeup than earlier considering the occasion. I ran downstairs and stopped in my tracks when I saw Jai. He had on black jeans, a black and white varsity jacket, red vans, and a red beanie. OH MY GOD, a beanie. I have a weakness for boys in beanies. He saw me, and his mouth dropped open. I was blushing. Oh no, here it came, it was like word vomit, "you look really good" I said while winking at him. 

WHY DID I DO THAT?! That's not like me. He probably thought I was a freak. 

He whispered in my ear saying that I looked better than him.. and asked if my dad would take a picture of us, and he did. Almost instantly my my phone buzzed with a mention from jai. He said “my date for the night @kaitlynadams” with the picture included. I favorited it and put my phone away.

I suggested that he let me drive, I led him to my brand new 2012 Nissan Juke Nismo and headed off. He looked confused when I led him to my car. It was very different, and didn’t look a lot like something I would drive, but I was in love with it. We pulled up to the party and I was concerned considering the extremely loud music being played and the amount of cars that were there. I parked somewhere and got out and we walked up to the party. He held on to my keys because he said he didn’t want me leaving without him. We walked in and I felt like everyone was staring at us. Jai saw I was nervous and whispered “It’s okay, I’ve got you.” Those words made me shiver. I think he liked me, maybe a little but, but I wasn’t sure. We instantly ran to the dance floor and started dancing for what felt like forever. I hadn’t laughed this much, in a really long time. We started dancing closer after we got a few drinks in us. He went to the bathroom and I went over and had a few more drinks before Jai finally found his way back to me. I was getting drunk and was tripping everywhere, he started laughing and started recording me on his phone.

*JAIS POV*

I guess theres something about a girl in heels trying to stand up because shes so drunk. Something about that just made me excited. I tried to help her, but she fought me off and led me to the dance floor. We started dancing closer. I wasn’t sure if this is what she wanted or not, but I went along with it. She then suddenly decided she wanted to leave. I got her phone and texted her dad saying "staying at a friends house tonight, be back in the morning." And he almost instantly replied saying "okay, be safe. Love you K xxx." We got in the car and I drove us back to my place. I gave her some water and a few hours she was out like a light. She didn’t say much to me while she was awake, I could tell she was somewhat uncomfortable. I picked her up and put her in my bed, and I crawled in snuggling with her. Hoping she wouldn’t be upset with me in the morning for crawling in with her. 

*THE NEXT MORNING*

“Kait, babe, wake up its almost11.”“errrrr” I heard her grunt and she rolled over looking like hell. I could tell she was going to have a hard time with this hangover. I gave her some water and went to get her some food. She took it upon herself to put on some of my sweat pants and my tshirt. I walked back in my room and was shocked at how good she looked in my clothes. She looked better than me. She obviously had no idea I had got into the bed with her last night. 

She asked me for her phone so I gave it to her and she smiled when she realized I had texted her dad for her. “Thanks Jai” she said.

I winked and went to wake up Luke and Beau, my brothers.

I went into their rooms and was shocked that they were already awake. They asked a million questions. I got sick of them so I went out and ran into the kitchen where I found Kaitlyn and my mom talking. Kaitlyn stood up and hugged me saying she had to go, but for me to call her later and we would do something. I hugged her back and handed her the keys and winked at her.

I watched her walk to her car, she looked so good in that car. It was a nice car, nothing I would have expected out of her though.

She was perfect. Something was missing though. I need to find out though. I will, sometime. I've known her for two days, and I am already head over heels for this girl, that I hardly knew anything about.
