Rain'Ella POV
The next day rolled around and I decided I wanted to visit my mom, dad, and sister. I missed them so much. There wasn't a day when I didn't talk to them while I was in D.C. I just needed to see them ASAP.
I took a shower, brushed my teeth, washes my face, out in deodorant, and out my hair in a ponytail. I didn't feel like styling it because it takes forever. I put on a my white bra and panty set. I put on a grey tank top and some skinny jeans with some grey Nikes and a thick wool, knee length, black jacket. It's cold outside, I don't want pneumonia.
I called myself a cab because I didn't want to take the car in case the girls needed it. Plus, I don't drive anyway. I can, but I choose not to for the simple face that I might start thinking I'm in grand theft auto and start running people over. I don't need that in my life.
"To Pine Oak Street." I said.
I paid the man and he took me where I needed to go. We got there within ten minutes. It was a bunch of cars in front of my house. I didn't know who was all over there.
I got out and went and knocked on the door. My mom opened it and her eyes got huge. She let out a shriek that scared the hell out of me and then grabbed me into a tight hug.
"Oh my baby! I mihh you so muh while you wuh gone!" she said, her thick Chinese accent filling my ears like music.
"I missed you too mommy." I said.
"Aye, my daughta hea! Rain is hea!" she said excitedly.
Shonna ran toward me and jumped on me. I picked her up and hugged her. She still looked exactly the same, but now her hair was cut short and died orange and yellow. She got down and looked at me.
"You look so diffrrent. More Asian than before, and girrrl look at that body!" she squealed.
"I know. It just kind of sprang into this. I don't know what happened." I said smiling.
"That's that college food." she said smiling at me.
"Yasss. It was delicious honey. I ate it like it was my last meal!" I said in a preachy type voice.
"Hahaha!" she laughed.
"Honey dah boy hea fo you." my mom said pushing Lando into me.
"Orlando!" I squealed before hugging him. He smelled so good and his tight embrace was so warm.
"I missed yo big booty self so much." he said squeezing me ass.
"Watch dem damn hands son." my dad said pushing Lando away from me and hugging me tight.
"I missed you so much daddy." I said hugging him tight. I missed being daddy's little princess.
"I missed you too munchkin." he said.
"Is that Rain?" I heard a little voice say.
"Renee?" I looked over at my little sister who was now seven years old. She was so beautiful and looked just like me.
"Rain!" she screamed before jumping on me.
I picked her up and spun her around in a bear hug. She had some weight on her, but I didn't care. My sister would never be too heavy for me to pick up, that is until she turned ten, then no more. I'm not caring no damn ten year old.
"I missed you so much." she said.
"I missed you too little one. Have you been good?" I asked.
"Yes. Momma and daddy been bad. They always yellin and cussin." she said.
"Don't be a snih! Bad Renee. Don't be a taddoo tale!" my mom scolded.
"Give her a break. She's just gossiping. That's what you be doing with them ladies in the nail shop." my dad said.
"Yea. We talk abou yo ugly toes." she said.
"Hahaha!" I laughed.
"Mommy who's that?" a beautiful little albino girl asked Shonna.
I'll assume that's the child she was pregnant with while we were in high school. She was so pretty. Her eyes were this grayish dark turquoise blue. Her skin was pale and her hair was a golden blonde.
"That's mommy's best friend from high school." Shonna said.
"Hello Mrs. Rain. Mommy talked about you all da time." she said as she walked over to me and hugged me.
"She did? Awww. I feel special." I said hugging her. "What's your name." I asked.
"My name is Sarah." she said.
"That's a beautiful name. How old are you?" I asked.
"I'm five." she said.
"Good. Your almost a big girl." I said smiling at her.
"Yaaay!" she cheered.
"Let's go play dolls." Renee said and they both ran to the back to play.
"I'm so glad you're back. We all missed you. We were so bored when you left." Shonna said.
"Awww. I'm sure you lived through it.
"Barely." Lando said before hugging me again.
"You gon stay for dinna?" my mom asked.
"Yes." I said happily. I love my mom's cooking.
"We all got some catching up to do." Lando said.
"That we do." I said.
We conversed between each other for hours. Orlando builds cars for a living at General motors Corp. He has been single since I been gone because he was waiting on me. He has his own apartment and car.
Shonna of course has her child and her and Lamar are engaged. They wanna get married next year during the spring. She works at a hair salon and Lamar works at a barber shop. Sarah just started Kindergarten.
Mom and dad argue a lot. That's nothing new. They never really got along, but I guess that's why they stayed together, it was never boring. Renee is in second grade and she has lot's of friends. Dad owns his own ice cream shop and mom owns a nail shop.
Of course I was able to talk them into giving me their old couch. They had a whole living room set that they didn't use anymore in the spare room. That's the cool thing about having parents with money. They have extra stuff that they can just give away.
I missed my family and friends so much. I love my new friends, hut my old friends were here first. I loved them and they taught me a lot over the years. Yes I made my mistakes, but at the end of the day, I learned from them.
Like how Orlando was the last person I slept with. I haven't had any in five years. I vowed after I got with Lando to never sleep with anybody else but him. Hopefully, we got back together so I could get me some.
