Rain'Ella POV
Today was the viewing of the commercial. Mr. Dunkin had all invited us to the store, which he had cleared and put chairs and a large screen in. We all dressed cute. I invited my parents, Shonna, Lando, and Tyrrell. Lyric and Rachel didn't invite anyone since they didn't have family here.
As we all sat waiting, I heard the front doors of the store open. In walked Martina holding a small toddler. She walked over where Lando was sitting beside me. She slapped the shit out of Lando.
The child looked exactly like Lando. Had his caramel skin, his eyes, his nose. I looked at Lando who stood up and grabbed the little girl from Martina.
"The fuck are you doing here?" he asked her.
"I just thought that if you're going to ignore Malinda to be with her, she might as well know about it. Rain'Ella, this sleaze bag is the father of my two year old. We dated for a year after you left and he got me pregnant. He was a good father until you came back." Martina said.
I stood up fuming with anger. I couldn't believe that Lando would do this to me. He lied to me. I had stayed monogamous to him for five fucking years!
He wasn't the Lando I left. He was different. I could tell by how he looked at Martina with hatred that he wasn't the same guy I used to love. If he was the same, he wouldn't have even been with Martina in the first place.
"I'm sorry Rain." he said looking at me while holding his daughter.
"I can't believe you! You lousy piece of shit!" I yelled.
"Yea Lando! How could you do that!?" Shonna exclaimed earning a nod from Lyric and Rachel.
"Oh so you so innocent." Lando said as he sat down Malinda, who ran over to her mom. "But you been fucking me and Derreck for the past year and a half." He said.
"Whatever! Shut the fuck up! You wasn't saying that when I was sucking yo dick!" she yelled slapping him.
"It's over Shonna! I'm in love with Lyric anyway!" Lamar said before grabbing a shocked Lyric who was stiff as a board and kissing her.
"So you want this bitch now?" Shonna yelled.
"I've had enough of you!" Lyric said before slapping Shonna, Lamar grabbed her and pulled her away from Shonna. "Don't you ever say shit to or about me again! I don't want my name in your nasty mouth! You can't even say shit anyway you betrayed yo friend and you cheated on yo nigga!" Lyric yelled.
Shonna said nothing. She just stood there crying. She is a nasty whore and I couldn't believe what she had done to me. I hate her ass.
"I can't believe this." I said.
Meanwhile, I just stood stuck in one spot. What else could the world throw at me.
"I've been waiting for the right time to do this, but Rain, I'm sorry. Your mom and dad, are my mom and dad. They gave me up for adoption, and that's how I ended up in Washington. I've been looking for y'all for seven years." Rachel said.
"Ray?" My mother said looking at her.
Tears were running down Rachel's eyes. My dad's mouth hung open in shock. They had been glancing at Rachel all afternoon. I see why now.
Every thing was happening at once. I was shocked, pissed and hurt and I wasn't sure how to express my emotions. I grabbed a chair and threw it at everyone before running out of the building. Tyrrell was behind me running after me. When he caught me, I fell into his arms crying. He just held me and rubbed his hands through my hair.
"What did I do to them!? Why do they hate me!?" I exclaimed in a crying slur.
"They just a lil stupid. That's all." Tyrrell said.
"They are evil!" I said angrily.
I was ready to get my pistol and shoot some bitches. I was so angry. I could barely breath. I wanted to break something or kill someone.
"I want to kill them all!" I yelled.
"Get in the car." Tyrrell said as he opened the door to his orange Jaguar.
I got inside and sat there crying as he bucked my seat belt and kissed my tears. He closed the door and got in the car. He backed out of the drive way and drove me home. When he parked, I got out and walked to the house.
I opened the door and went into my room. I stripped out of my clothes and got into my bed. I was so hurt. I just wanted to lay in the dark and cry.
I felt hurt that I had never felt before. Shonna betrayed me. Lando was a piece of shit and he betrayed me. My parents made me live a lie. It seemed that I was being hurt left and right.
"What you wanna eat?" Tyrrell asked when he walked in.
He didn't even seem to care that I was naked. He may have glanced at me lustfully for five seconds, but he snapped back quick. He was more concerned about me on the inside than me on the outside. He came and sat beside me.
"I'm sorry for their behavior. They'll apologize. Well, hopefully. I guess Rachel is your sister, so you really should be thankful for that. I've seen when y'all are around each other. Y'all acted like sisters anyway, and y'all. look like twins. Y'all might as well just be sisters anyway." he said.
"Yea." I said as I started to think clearly again.
"Lyric is still your friend. Seems to be one of your three real friends." he said.
"Who's the other two?" I asked.
"Me and Rachel, but since she your sister, I guess she doesn't count." he said.
"Oh. You are a good friend." I said.
"I know. Am I the only one who always knew Shonna was shady?" he asked.
"What you mean?" I asked.
"Well, Before you left, remember when you had that going away party? Well she was staring Lando down and she really never looked at you like a friend. She would look at you like you were disgusting if you didn't have on something tight and revealing." he said.
"I never knew that." I said.
"Now you know. Now what you wanna eat?" he asked.
"Some Chinese food." I said.
"I thought women liked ice cream when they were sad." he said.
"Every food is comfort food for me." I said smiling.
Did he just succeed at making me feel better?
I sat up and before Tyrrell could get out of the bed, I hugged him. He hugged me back and put his face in the crook of my neck. I felt something. Something strong. An emotion that I used to feel with Lando back in high school whenever he would touch me.
I felt shivers go down my spine, my body heated up, my cheeks burned and a blush came about. That's when I knew. That's when my whole body became relaxed.
"I'm gonna go order some takeout. If you had decided on something else, I would have cooked for you." he said
"Well now you can save yourself the trouble. Now go get my shrimp friend rice." I said.
"Iight. I'll be back." he said.
For the rest of the day, Tyrrell stayed with me. Rachel and Lyric came home and we talked, of course that was after I put on some clothes. I found myself being lifted by my friends. My real friends.
