Rain'Ella POV

After Lyric, Rachel, and I had gotten home, they were very curious as to why things were the way they were with my original group and the other people in the club. They wanted to know why I attacked Carlos and Riley. I had never really told them about my past or what exactly it was that I went through, but I guess now was as good a time as any. I would have to tell them at some point.

"Why did you beat that guy up?" Rachel asked.

"It's a long story." I said.

"And why did you go off on ole girl with the bushy eyebrows?" Lyric asked.

"It's a long story." I said sitting on the couch.

"And what was going on with Shonna?" Lyric asked.

"What's your relationship with them dudes? I could tell you knew all of them." Rachel said.

Rachel always seemed to know me so well. It was as if she could read me. It was so weird sometimes. We had that close connection like we were bonded or something. I was closer to Rachel than Lyric, but I was still pretty good friends with Lyric and her and I knew each other well.

"Do you really want to know?" I asked.

"Yes." Rachel said.

"I don't know where to start." I said.

"Start from the beginning." Lyric said.

That's when I spilled my truth. I told them everything from the time I could remember to the time I graduated. Tears were shed, there were gasps. There were threats to Derreck and Carlos. There were angry and not so nice words toward Riley, Kim, and Trina. There were even words about Martina.

It was easy to tell that these girls cared. They acted as if it had just recently happened to them and not me a long time ago. I found myself laughing at them more than feeling sorry for myself about my past. I really don't regret anything I'd done.

"How are you still a good person throughout all that?" Lyric asked.

"I just let it go and forgave them. Well, for the most part." I said.

"I can tell the way you tore into Carlos. He should still be in jail rotting and getting raped and not tapping you on your shoulder and being all up in yo face." Rachel said.

"Yea and Riley needs to be skinned alive." Lyric said.

"I'd do it myself if I wasn't afraid to go to jail." Rachel said.

"I think Shonna has a problem with me though. I don't know why. I've done nothing to her." Lyric observed.

"It's cause her man was watching you like a hawk." Rachel said slyly.

"Hell yea. He was watching you like a bum stairs at a man walking around with a stack of money." I said.

"Girl no. He got a girl. He shouldn't be lookin at me." Lyric said while shaking her head.

"True, but you know how men are." Rachel said.

"Don't I? I know more than I would like to." Lyric said.

She had been the product of an affair between a woman's rich husband, and her mother, their maid. He neglected her and nobody but him, her mother, and herself knew that she was his daughter. This lead her to have some toxic relationships from not really having a good father figure and knowing how she should be treated. From being cheated on, to being beaten, Lyric had been through hell.

"You know, I have had some bad relationships of my own. I used to be this one guys side chick. His main chick would do everything to get me away. I ended up getting pregnant and she jumped me with her friends and I had a miscarriage. He tried to keep pursuing me, but I kicked his ass to the curb and pressed charges against that bitch. I later found out that she was his cousin and his nasty ass was dating her." Rachel recalled.

"What the hell?" I said shocked.

"That niggas had issues." Lyric said while shaking her head.

I guess all of us had been through some shitty situations in our past. We learned from our mistakes and moved on though. Hopefully, we all made better decisions in the future.
