#34 Plan A : In Action!

Before I start...I just wanna say that if you are a SUPER supportive fan, I will most defiantly dedicate my next chapter to you!

ANYWAYS...ON WITH THE STORY...

"OKAY EVERYONE. KEEP CALM. THEY ARE WALKING IN. DO NOT PANIC. WE GO ON IN ABOUT FIVE MINUTES. DON'T. PANIC. IT'S OH. KAY." Candace screamed, waving her hands out in front of her backstage of the cafe's stage. One Direction got the manager to reserve a whole hour for them, so they can set up, and practice, and wait for Sky to come.

Candace was freaking out because...well we all know she is crazy...AND...she could not risk going on tour without one of her best friends because she wouldn't be able to keep her sanity.

Skylar had told the girls, and the guys that her mother agreed to go, but only with a big push of her father, so they were going to come in a couple of minutes.

All the girls were absolutely nervous because they have known Skylar and how talented she is for far too long to agree that she should miss out on this opportunity.

"C'mon everyone! Vocal Exercises! Becka, your place at the piano..." Sophie ordered, getting next to the piano. Becka walked over to it, and gave them a breathe, meaning she was going to start. She played a broken C major chord, C, E, A, E, C. And they "Ha"d along to it, to relax their diaphragm, going up every single note. Then they did some other exercises, until Val got a text from Skylar saying that they are walking in.

Everyone whooped for joy and looked out of the curtain every five seconds to see if she was there.

Skylar finally came in, and she, her mom and dad, were smiling, and laughing. "GUYS! THERE IS A BREAKTHROUGH TAKING PLACE RIGHT NOW, OUTSIDE." Becka screamed, and ran over to everyone. "What is it?" Niall said, looking up from Candace's guitar, which Candace was playing, trying to show him how to play "Lose Yourself" by Eminem.

"They are having a GOOD TIME together!" Becka enthusiastically said, and everyone ran up to the curtain, looking through the space Becka made between the two curtains. Sky and her mom were laughing along with her dad and brother, and they were so happy.

"I don't know if we should do this..." Sophie spoke up. Of course it was her. She liked to think on the upside of things most of the time, but sometimes someone had to speak up about the down side, and this time it was her. "I mean, look how happy they are! You saw what happened at her house last time. Her mom was devastated. The worst thing you can ever do to someone in your family is lie to them. It shows that they can't trust you, and if it's someone like your mother, or anyone who has raised you, it shows that they they aren't doing a good job as a parent. I would be very upset too if I found out my child was hiding something from me. I don't know..." she said. She was clearly upset, and everyone looked at her like she was right.

"I agree, but look how far we've come. We HAVE to do this. It's Skylar's DREAM. And if my parents didn't support me, I would've never had the courage to get on that stage for the panel of judges in 2010. None of us would." Louis said, pointing to his five best friends. "She needs that support. If she has an opportunity to go live her dream, she HAS to do it. Because in the music biz, a chance like this comes once in a lifetime and she's lucky we're helping her out." Liam continued, stating the facts.

Everyone nodded. "I guess you're right. We'll just have to do something a little differently..." Sophie said, smirking. Everyone leaned in to hear the plan.

*Ten minutes later*

Skylar was sitting with her mother, father, and brother, and they were having a great time. But she was concerned about her mother's reaction after she performs. Sky knew that her mother would be mad that she lied yet again, but she may realize how talented Sky is and let her go on tour.

Sky looked at her watch. 7:30. Great. She had to wait another half an hour before she has to go on stage. She was just itching to get up there and show everyone what she can do.

She turned back to her family, and continued listening to her father's story. But she was taken back by the sudden announcement that the DJ was getting the customers' attention for.

If you were here for the last Open Mic Jam, you may have seen this great band play here. The crowd went WILD for them last time, so they have come back for another song!" the DJ continued dropping hints about them, and said they were very 'bright' in 'color' and Sky didn't understand what he was trying to say. It obviously wasn't them, because her watch, and phone were correct. It was 7:37. "They met some people...VERY famous people, who have a song planned for us with them...so please welcome...The Neon Cupcakes, AND....ONE DIRECTION!" the DJ screamed, walking away from the curtain so everyone can see them when it opened. And there they were. Her best friends, and One Direction.

"What?! What?!" Skylar mumbled and looked at her mother. "Aren't those your friends?" she said, very confused. "Yeah...bu-" she was cut off by Niall saying something in the mic. "We want to welcome up a very special girl, who we want to take on the American Tour with us, DESPERATELY. But something, or should I say...SOMEONE, is holding her back." Niall said, winking at her mom. She just gave him a death stare back, and looked back at Sky.

"Did you know about this?" she sternly asked. "No, i swear I-"

"PLEASE WELCOME...SKYLAR!" Sophie said into the mic, and grabbing her from her chair. Sky went along with it, and the crowd clapped for her, cheering her name over and over again. She got up on stage and everyone patted her on the back, including One Direction. She got a "Good Luck!" from Zayn, as well as a thumbs up from The Cupcakes.

She took her seat at the drum set, and took one more look at her mom. SHe actually didn't seem mad. Maybe this was a change for her! Maybe her mother was actually starting to understand how many people actually care about what Sky wants to do all her life and they try to help her achieve it.

Or maybe not...

Maybe she just didn't want to cause a scene in public...

Yeah. That's about right...
