Okay, so if you liked the other chapter, and you are really curious about what Josh called Val to basketball practice for.

Val rushed out of the house. She hopped on her skateboard and drove straight to the basketball court. As she rode up to the gym, it was closed.

"Ugh, why the fudge would he do tha-" she hesitated before saying anything because she saw a note on the door. It said:

Hey Val. Meet me out back.

                                   ~Josh

She ran out back, and saw Josh standing at the back entrance, in Navy Blue Jeans, a White tee, and white and black Jordans. Holding a rose in his hands. "Hey, Val."

"I-is that for m-me?" Val asked, about to faint.

"Yep. Val. I have to tell you something..." Josh said, coming closer to her. Val didn't even dare to back away. She can smell his sweet, cologne as he got closer. His blue eyes glowing in the darkness of the night. His silky medium length light brown hair, glistening in the dark.

"Wu-what do you want to tell me?" Val said, stuttering from shock.

"I've gotten a bit closer to you over the past year ever since you were on the team. I think you are smart, funny, and pretty. I just...I want to be closer...a lot closer than we were before. You know?" Josh said, staring into Valerie's eyes, with a look that was begging her to say yes.

"Well...I mean...I...I WOULD LOVE TO." Val said, excited. But she was unsure of her choice. Yes, of course, she had a MAJOR crush on him, but she has seen girls walk away from him, crying. Sayin he was a jerk. Saying he broke up with them for another.

Josh saw the pain in her eyes, as she said yes. "Are you sure? Because you don't look so sure about it. It's totally okay if you don't want to date me."

"No, no. It's just...you're known as the heart-breaker of the school. You can never keep a steady relationship. You're always breaking up with a girl in a week, at most. And I just...don't want my heart broken for no reason." Val said, finally speaking her mind. She turned to him, and turned her head to the floor.

He pushing her chin up with his pointer finger "I promise you, Val. I will treat you well, and I will keep a steady relationship with you. And you know why?" Val looked at him. "Why?" "Because you're different, Val. You're not like the other girls. You don't try to act dumb, or flirt with me, or play hard to get. You be yourself, and that's it. You're just...Val. And I dig that." He said, both of them chuckling when he said 'dig'.

"Aww, thank you! Well, If you're THAT commited than..i guess...we are a couple now?" Val said, staring into his eyes.

Josh slipped his hand into hers, and leaned in closer...and closer...and closer. Until his lips touched hers. She didn't even notice until he kissed her harder. She was too distracted at the fact that she...Valerie Shapiro...tomboy nobody...with Josh Bradbury...school heartthrob.

She felt all warm inside, she felt beautiful. She felt...alive. She had always thought he was a major jerk, and only liked him for his looks. But now...she sees the real him. And the real him, is...perfect...and he's hers.
