Hey!! This chapter isn't from Sophie's point of view, cuz it's written in the Third Person point of view. But... ENJOY!

As Sophia Cohen walked through the halls of Thomas Jefferson High, she felt like a nobody. Well, at least a nobody...with a group of friends. She and her friends are always bullied on and being called “Music Addicts” and are always made fun of their band “The Neon Cupcakes”. Even though they did win the ninth grade talent show, when their band was just created, people still don't appreciate their music and it bugs Sophie, A LOT. It’s Sophie, Becka, her sister Val, Candie, and Sky. But they have some other friends too. Joeseph, who is Val’s friend from the basketball team, David, who they call Dave, and then there’s Alejandro. He has some pretty interesting nicknames. Sophie and Becka like to call him Bob because Alejandro is just too much to say. Candace, when she met him, she thought he looked like a Gepetto, so she calls him Gepetto. And the rest just call him Al, or Alejandro.

“Hey!! Wait up!!” Sophie screamed to them as she ran up to her locker.

“Calm down, it’s not like we’re gonna go anywhere without you.” Rebecca said, helping Sophie get her books for class out of her locker, while eating a bag of chips. Becka is always eating. And she’s still the skinniest person they know.

“Yeah, where were you, anyways?” Skylar asked, studying Sophie’s face very carefully. “You look awful.”

“Oh, thanks. That’s REALLY what I want to hear right now.” Sophie says, fixing her messy, brown hair with a brush, making it from messy and weird, to flowy and bouncy. She took out the "emergency" sweatshirt from her locker, and as she put it over her head, all the girls at once said "Backwards." and Sophie shrugged, turning the sweatshirt around, and finally putting it on.

Sophie is the lead singer for “The Neon Cupcakes”. She's kind of a klutz, but she's very creative and bright. She was the one who originally had the idea to perform in the talent show as a band, and that hasn't turned out so bad... Anyways... Her green eyes pop out from her medium toned skin, and flowy, bouncy, medium length hair. She never thinks highly of her appearance. She never really likes talking about her body. When you look at her, you probably think she’s just a normal girl, nothing special. But when she opens her mouth to sing, everyone is just...flabbergasted. But in a good way. Nobody expects to hear that amazing voice come out of her mouth. Her style is cute, but casual. She doesn’t like to over do it, like a lot of sparkles or really big pieces of jewelry.

"So...anyways...you guys wanna know why I was late?" Sophie said, looking kind of excited. But her puffy eyes were covering up half the excitement she wanted to portray.

"Uh...depends...should we be scared or not?" Candace said, and all the other girls agreed.

"No...It's about our latest cover!!!" Sophie squeeled, taking out her laptop. She attached 5 pairs of earphones to the laptop (Yes...I know...pretty cool laptop huh?), and they all listened to their latest recorded cover of "Crash Your Party" by Karmin.

"THIS IS AMAZING!!! We are gonna rock the Open Mic at Cafe Jegrame in MSG! That stands for Madison Square Garden if any of you didn't know..." Skylar said, informing them what MSG meant.

"We know what MSG stands for, Sky...WAIT!" Sophie did a double-take. "WHAT. OPEN MIC? WHAT CAFE?" She was getting scared now.

"Oh yeah...I guess I didn't tell you that I signed us up for Open Mic at this really cool new cafe at MSG...did I?" she said, feeling kind of guilty.

"Why didn't you tell us? We barely practiced lately. We only practice on Sundays, and we need more practice for that. Anyways, how did you get us an Open Mic there, anyways? Don't you have to have a reservation for like...five months to do Open Mic?" Rebecca asked, wondering how she did that.

"Oh, I made a reservation there in September! Right at the beginning of the school year when we were talking about Open Mic jams we could do. And when I called, they said we were on December 22nd." I thought it would take forever but now it's December 2nd, so I think we have enough time if we practice every day!" Sky said, with confidence.

"Well...THATS GREAT!! We will practice every day with...hm...what's a really popular song that we can do really great stuff to?" Valerie asked.

"How about...RUMOUR HAS IT BY ADELE?" Candace asked. "PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!!! ITS LIKE...MY FAVORITE SONG RIGHT NOW!!!" She got on her knees, and hugged all four girls' legs. "PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!!!!!!!!!" she begged, and pleated.

"Okay, okay, just get off the floor...your attracting attention." Sophie said, trying to be the mature person she is, and getting her off the floor. "You guys okay with that?" Sophie turned to her friends. Candace nodded behin her. "Rumour Has It it is!!!" Rebecca screamed.

The bell rang and they all dipsersed to their indivual classes.
