A/n: I'm finally going back to Hermione's PoV lol.

Hermione's PoV:

The sorting ceremony and feast were now over and we were all back in our common rooms; me and Ginny in our dorm. We had locked the door and used 'Muffilato' so we could talk freely about our real families. Gin explained everything and told me that she had a glamour charm on and I was excited to find out what she actually looked like. I reckon she'll have long white-blonde hair, stormy grey eyes and will be a little taller than her current height of 5'3. She even mentioned that her parents think they have an idea and are getting closer to the truth and that hopefully by the end of the year I will know who they are.

We ended up falling asleep at around 10 knowing we have to get up early tomorrow to help Harry find something for the second task in two days. It is slightly worrying that he hasn't found anything yet, considering that he's had many months to figure this out. The next morning came fast, no light was poking through the gap in the curtains as it was barely 4am when my alarm went off. I may not like him much because of what the order did but it felt right to help him win, like it wasn't really helping him, but someone else.

After I was ready, I headed out of the common room and through the winding corridors towards the kitchens. I asked Tulip, one of the house elves, where the apples were and grabbed a fully green one before heading out towards the grounds. Making my way across the damp grass towards the black lake, I assume that it has something to do with the task after Harry told me what the egg says.
'Come seek us where our voices sound,
We cannot sing above the ground,
And while your searching, ponder this:
We've taken what you'll sorely miss,
An hour long you'll have to look,
And recover what we took,
But past an hour-the prospect's black
Too late, it's gone, it won't come back.'

It's pretty sinister to be honest, but we were all warned that death has occurred during these tournaments in the past. I sat down, leaning against a tree, near the edge of the water staring at it intently. The freckled sky reflecting of the smooth, glassy surface, pulling me in, willing me to swim into its dangerous depths. It was eerily silent. Pushing my fear down, I pulled out a herbology book and my apple and relaxed into the soft bark behind me. The sun eventually scared away the moon, it's hazy orange glow cascading over the sloping grounds surrounding the majestic castle. Not wanting to get caught be Filtch, I headed back towards the enormous oak doors sliding inside, using one of the twins' secret passageways to sneak back to Gryffindor tower. Right now as one of those days when I wished I had got sorted into Hufflepuff- it's common room near the kitchens and up one flight of stairs, instead of up an entire tower.

I plonked down onto the soft sofa, the fire light mixing with the sun, creating a warm yellow light. I decided to go change into my clothes, as I had left in leggings, a top and my Gryffindor robe, before waking up the rest of the girls in our dorm. It was around 6:30 when Ginny finally entered the common room, sitting down next to me, sprawling all over the chair.
"So, 'Mione, did you find anything?" She asked groggily.
"Yes, it's a plant called Gillyweed but  it's really rare and I doubt that neither Snape nor Pomfrey will have it, but we should check anyway." I explained, as she nodded in agreement.

We waited for another half-hour until the boys finally arrived and we headed down to breakfast. We all ate only talking to explain the plan me and Gin came up to get the Gillyweed. They also agreed and we decided we would go tonight at 11:45pm. We waited until our time tables were handed out then left to our dorms to get the appropriate books we needed.
The time table:

It turned out that we had Ancient Runes with Ravenclaw, Arithmancy with Hufflepuff, CMC with Ravenclaw and Transfiguration with Slytherin. The day passed really fast, Malfoy only making a few nasty remarks and sly comments, and now me, Gin, Harry and Ron are in the common room, checking the map. Harry checked it one last time before stuffing it into his pocket and pulling us under the cloak.

Once we reached Snape's personal storeroom, we slid the cloak off keeping an eye on the map, whilst unlocking the door. Surprisingly, the simple unlocking spell worked but I guessed he would have other precautions. So instead of entering I whispered, 'Accio Gillyweed', and it came flying towards me. Catching in one hand I turned round to the boys and gave them a triumphant smile. But our celebrations were soon cut off as an ear splitting alarm started screeching from inside the store-room. Realising our mistake, we sprinted away and down a secret passage, ending up outside the fat lady, panting for breath but still smiling.

I passed the Gillyweed to Harry and explained how it works and what amount to eat before we all went our separate ways. I fell asleep almost instantly but could here Ginny turning over trying to get comfortable as I slipped into unconsciousness. That night though, unlike all others, was interrupted by a terrifying dream that kept repeating. A small, inhumane looking baby kept appearing with a large snake coiling itself around the chair the thing sat in. The same voice croaking out of the 𝘣𝘢𝘣𝘺 saying the same sentences over and over.
"Come my daughter, find me, help me. We will rule together, I will rise once more." Those words sent shivers down my spine, shaking my core.

I woke up the next morning in a cold sweat, all the others still asleep, faint light coming from the window. I very quickly, showered, dressed and went down for breakfast, bored of waiting in the common room. Once we finished breakfast, we used the free period the tournament had given Harry and us to help him prepare for it seeing as it was only 2 hours away. But just as we were discussing the importance of saving yourself before others, Professor McGonagall came over to us and asked for me and Ron to follow her. She lead us towards the familiar stone gargoyles outside the headmasters office before  speaking the password and ushering us up the stairs to the Gryffindor that stood between us and him.

Knocking on the door, we waited a few seconds before a faint 'come in' could be heard, then entered. The scene surprised me, Dumbledore sat behind his desk whilst Fleur Delacour's sister and Cho Chang were stood in front of him, clearly just as confused as us. Then I realised.
"We're what'll be sorely missed!" I exclaimed more to myself than anyone else.
"Yes, you are correct Miss Granger. Well done on figuring that out. Now I'm sorry for this but when you wake up, remember to breath." That was the last thing I heard before everything went black.

I woke up somewhere unfamiliar. Something had a strong grip on my waist and when I saw what it was I almost screamed. At first I thought it was a shark, but then realised it had human legs. Viktor. I was jolted roughly back to reality as we broke the surface and both had to swim towards the floating stands surrounding us. As soon as I was on land, I started to shiver, well more like violently shake but I was immediately wrapped in dozens of blankets bringing back some of the missing warmth.

Ginny had made her way over to me and we started to get worried as the end of the hour drew closer, Harry still not back. I had told her what happened to me and Ron and she looked even more angry with Dumbledore and I could tell she was definitely going to rant about this to poor Draco. Draco. That boy had me rapped around his finger. I feel bad for Gin considering I've caught feels for her brother, but it only happened because he sent me a super sweet letter asking if I was ok and if I wanted to meet up at some point when we got back here. I had never really payed attention to the Slytherin team in Quidditch matches but did occasionally notice how nice and chiselled his body was. And to be honest it is way nicer that Harry or Ron's just don't tell them that.

Luckily, moments later Harry burst out of the lake and onto the platform near me, with Fleur's sister and Ron. After some time, the results were announced; Harry joint first with Cedric, then Viktor and then Fleur. We were all promptly dismissed back to the castle where loud talk of food could be heard in anticipation of lunch. And before we knew it, we were all tucked in bed again.

A/n: IF YOU EVER STEAL FROM MY PERSONAL STOORS AGAIN, MY COCK MIGHT JUST SLIP UP YOUR ARSE! - Professor Snape.
