A/n: sorry I haven't updated in a while I've been busy with friends and school.

Hermione's PoV:

Me, Ginny, Ron and Harry had been spending every spare moment of the day in the library or with Hagrid. We must have read almost every defence against the dark arts in the library -excluding the restricted section. Harry even asked Professor Moody for permission into the restricted section, but he had said no on the basis that he didn't need that level of defensive spells to win. To be honest, i don't trust Moody, he's giving me dodgy vibes, like he's hiding something. In fact, he's giving me the same vibes i got off Professor Lupin, their dark, like he is hiding something very dangerous. Like Lupin was a werewolf, but we all now Moody isn't one.

The final task is in a month, I still can't believe how fast this year has gone, I'm glad that Ron finally believed Harry, he wouldn't have been able to make it this far without him. School has been really stressful lately and I know I'm supposed to be the know-it-all, homework owing mudblood, but in reality I hate homework, I just have a thirst to prove myself. The teacher's have been giving twice the amount of homework because of our 'OWLS' next year. Snape's been the worst though, every lesson, which are every other day he makes us do two twelve inch essay explaining the use of different potion ingredients and stuff like that.

Me and Ginny have been writing to her parents a lot, they even act like I'm their second daughter. They still won't tell me who they think my parents but did say that they were very good friends before Voldemort's downfall. We reckon that their probably another pure-blooded, death eater couple who were caught and sent to Azkaban. Frankly, I don't care which side of the war they're on, as long as they love me and allow me some freedom I'll be fine. I am slightly scared though if they are truly evil and couldn't to shits about me or my well-being.

- A/N: Time skip two weeks.

Today, at breakfast, Harry got curious to why expensive looking owls delivered letter's to me and Ginny everyday and grabbed the bird before it could fly away. He saw the Malfoy family crest imprinted into its left wing and blew up. He spent ten minutes whisper-shouting at us and questioning us, but still trying not to draw to much attention. We couldn't come up with a believable lie straight away so we told him we would explain it all later tonight. He ignored us the rest of the day, only glaring at us a few times. After dinner, we decided to tell him the 'truth'. We basically said that there was a house elf there- one like Dobby- asking for help and giving us info on how to help in make an escape plan; he, of course, believed us.

I was so overcome with frustration and stress about everything that I couldn't sleep, so at around midnight, I snuck out of the dorms and up to the astronomy tower. Draco told me he comes he to clear his head, he said the stars are calming to watch. He was right. I sat there, the bitter wind eating at my skin, staring off into space (literally). The stars danced across the night sky like scattered moon dust, painting old tails of wonder through time. It was truly mesmerising.

I let out a long, exasperated sigh, consumed by confusing thoughts. Too wound up in my mid, i didn't notice someone sitting beside me. I was jumped back to reality when their cold words cut through the air.
"You know it isn't safe up here." The voice said, I knew exactly who it was, the cold, icy tone and the smirk you could hear. Draco.
"I know." I answered, turning my head to meet his cloudy grey eyes. I remembered how cold it was when he pulled me closer to him, rapping his cloak around my shivering body. I looked at him, my eyebrows raised a small smile creeping onto my lips. He just smiled back.

We stayed like that before he broke the silence once again.
"Why are you up here?" He asked, his brow furrowed. I studied his face, thinking off an answer before deciding to just tell him the truth.
"Well Harry found out about the letters from Malfoy Manor so me and Gin had to make up a story. We told him that we were in contact with a house-elf like dobby who we were trying to help escape. It worked but his curiosity annoyed me." I explained, making a face of disgust at the end.
"Well it's good I found you because I had a similar problem." He said, chuckling a little.

He turned to look at me, our eyes meeting. I could feel the tension building between us. I noticed his eyes fall to my lips for a brief moment before landing back on my eyes. Understanding that we both wanted the same thing, I leant towards him, closing the gap between us. As soon as our lips connected, I felt fireworks replace the butterflies in my stomach. He instantly kissed back, pulling my body up against his. His lips were soft and tasted of green apples, they fit together with mine like jigsaw pieces. It was euphoric.

We broke apart a few minutes later, gasping for air. Smiling at each other, we both leaned in the railing of the tower, my head rested on his shoulder. Butterflies erupted in my stomach once again, thinking about what just happened. "We should probably head to bed, we have a busy day tomorrow." I whispered reluctantly. He nodded in agreement and we helped each other up, going separate ways back to our dorms. I fell asleep that night dreaming of Draco and that kiss, the magical feeling of his body against mine.
