Chapter Nine: Finally Pt1

"And that's how I met the three years old Jingyi who was dropped outside GusuLan," Future Lan Xichen said.

Future Lan Wangji nodded. "Still remember that day," He said, emotionless, "Jingyi was unconscious for three days."

Future Wei Wuxian Wuxian looked sad. "Poor boy. He must have been so scared because of the Wens back then," He said.

"The Wens are truly monsters!" Jiang Cheng said, in disgust. 

Wen Kexing cleared his throat and coughed loudly to get the latter's attention.

Jiang Cheng glaced at him, before saying, "Except some Wens though."

Wen Kexing nodded in satisfaction, smiling brightly.

"Yeah, except some Wens like Wen Kexing, Wen Ning, Sizhui and now, Jingyi," Future Jiang Cheng said.

"Wait—Sizhui is a Wen too?" Wei Wuxian asked, looking at the junior.

"Yeah," Sizhui said, smiling hesitantly, "Is there a problem with that?" 

They were in the past, so Sizhui was scared that they might not accept him as a Wen.

"No, of course not, right?" Lan Xichen said, as everyone nodded with him in agreement.

"Coming back to the topic," Zizhen said, "What should we do now?"

"Unite my father to the one he loves," A voice from the door interrupted their conversation. 

"Jingyi!" Sizhui said in worry, "You are not supposed to leave your bed."

Jingyi shrugged as he shoved him a bright smile before walking and sitting down where the array was.

"Yo, Zewu-Jun!" He said, excitedly, "How are you?"

Future Lan Xichen chuckled as he said, "That should be my line, Jingyi. How are you feeling?"

Jingyi flashed the future Lan Xichen his full of pride smile and said, "I'm perfectly fine!"

As soon as the future Lan Xichen was about to speak, Zizhen interrupted them.

"Jingyi, what do you mean by uniting your father to the one he loves?" He asked.

Jingyi looked at him and said, "Simple! There is still time before they were taken away by the Wens. So we should stop them and help them so that Father doesn't marry Mom."

"Are you sure?" Lan Wangji asked him, "I hope you know the consequences."

Jingyi was about to nod when he got interrupted by the future Lan Wangji. 

"No," Future Lan Wangji said, sternly, "Jingyi will not do that."

Jingyi laughed as he spoke, "Awh, HanGuang-Jun, for the first time, you are worried about me."

"Jingyi, Wangji is right," Future Lan Xichen said, "You know the consequences. We can't do that."

"What do you mean? What are the consequences?" Wei Wuxian asked, confusingly. 

"If Jingyi reunites Lan Wanglei and Jiang Yusheng, he might get stuck in time since his parents were never married," Wen Kexing said.

"What?!" Zizhen exclaimed, "You mean Jingyi won't be born?"

"No, Zizhen," Future Lan Xichen said, "Once you take birth in this world, the only way to leave is death. Jingyi will be in the future. The only difference is that he won't remember us anymore and he will have another family in some part of this world."
