Chapter fifteen: Keeping an eye

"Finally! We're home!" Jingyi said, getting off from Zizhen's back.

Zizhen let out a breath in relief as he knelt down on the ground. He was carrying Jingyi from the beginning of their journey.

Jingyi chuckled as he helped Zizhen to stand up. "Come on, you can rest as much as you want in our room," He said.

Ye Xiang and Wang Faxu watched Jingyi and Zizhen walking away.

"Are they together?" Ye Xiang asked, confusingly.

"Together?" Wen Kexing said, chuckling, "I wish but no, they are not."

"Then why did Zizhen willing agree to carry Jingyi all the way here even if he was hurting?" Wang Faxu asked.

Zhou Zishu sighed. "Because that might be the last time," He said.

"Last time..?" Wang Faxu asked, feeling confused.

"It's nothing, don't worry," Sizhui said, "Come with me. I'll show you guys your room."

"No! I don't want to share a room with that piece of shit!" Xiumin said, glaring at Li Jie.

Li Jie rolled his eyes. "Likewise," He said.

Sizhui sighed. "With many difficulties, Zewu-Jun managed to get two rooms. Please corporate with us," He said.

Jin Ling interfered in between with irritation shown on his face.

"You know what?!" He said, a bit louder than usual.

"What?" Li Jie asked, feeling a bit threatened by the outburst.

Jin Ling dragged Li Jie and Ye Xiang and threw them in one room then he did the same thing with Xiumin and Wang Faxu and threw them in the other room.

"There!" He said, clapping his hands, "Problem solved!"

Sizhui sighed for the nth time.

"They aren't from here, are they?" Lan Xichen asked, looking at Wen Kexing who was peeking at the new intruders.

"I don't know," Wen Kexing said, "They smell of danger."

Wei Wuxian who was sitting down, looked at the king of the ghost valley. "Danger? I don't get that scent from them," He said.

Jiang Cheng leant on a wall as he said, "I do."

Lan Xichen smiled, awkwardly. "To be honest, I smell danger from that new kids and from Xiumin," He said.

Lan Wangji nodded. "Mhm,"

Jin Ling raised an eyebrow. "Smell of danger? Is that a new way of saying a delicious food?" He asked.

Jiang Cheng facepalmed.

Jin Ling tilted his head. "What? Did I say something wrong?" He asked.

"Jin Ling," Wei Wuxian said, "What we are saying is that we think Xiumin and the two kids might be a threat to us."

The Jin frowned. "I mean, I agree about Xiumin. He is a bitch but those two look decent," He said.

Jiang Cheng tilted his head in confusion. "What kind of person is Xiumin?" He asked.

Jin Ling looked at his uncle as he said, "Xiumin is a traitor. Being a Jin disciple before, he betrayed our clan by leaking our internal informations."

"Oh,"

Wei Wuxian nodded, thinking about something. "Jin Ling, keep an eye on that boy. If you notice any kind abnormal behaviour about him, inform us as soon as possible," He said.
