“Who are you?“ Jin Ling asked. His sword lowered down from the guy in front of him.
The said boy looked at him in amusement. “Well, I didn't expect you to lower your guard so easily, Jin Rulan,” He said in sarcasm.
Jin Ling knew he shouldn't lower his guard in front of someone he doesn't know but he just can't find himself raising his sword to the boy standing.
“Who are you?“ He repeated himself. He didn't want to say anything else. He just couldn't.
The guy in front of him sighed in disappointment. Jin Ling was no fun at all.
“I'm Yuan, courtesy name, Sizhui,” He said with a small, quite gentle smile.
Sizhui..?
Jin Ling took a deep breath in to calm himself. “Alright then, Sizhui, what do you want from me?“ He asked.
Sizhui let out a chuckle. “You, I want you.“
“Me? What do you mean by this?“ Jin Ling was baffled.
Sizhui walked closer to Jin Ling, making the latter take a step back. He chuckled.
“Jin Ling, do you not remember me?“

“Why don't we use our swords to fly instead of walking? It's tiring,” Zizhen asked, squatting down.
Jingyi turned around and looked at him. “Do you want cultivators to be like, 'Hey! Look at me! I just escaped prison!' by using your spiritual energy?“ He asked back in sarcasm.
Zizhen pouted and shook his head. “No, I definitely don't want that but I'm tired now! I want to rest,” He said.
Jingyi sighed and pinched his nose. “Fine, there's an inn nearby. Bear with this for a while,” He informed Zizhen.
Zizhen tiredly got up and started walking beside Jingyi. As they walked, they could see the light of a village coming closer.
A few more minutes later, they finally arrived at the inn. Jingyi was the one to speak up. “Good sir, is there a room available?“ He asked.
The old man who was incharge of the inn, looked at them. “My child, you're just in luck. A room just got vacant right now,” He said.
Jingyi looked at Zizhen then at the old man again. “Is there only one room left?“ He asked, patiently.
The old man nodded. “I'm afraid, yes. Since the carnival started, most people started coming in the village,” He replied.
Jingyi let out a desperate sigh. “Alright then. We'll take the room,” He said.
The old man nodded and took out a paper to write down. “Young man, for how many days will you be staying?“ He asked.
Jingyi thought for a while and said, “Five days, we'll leave on the fifth day during the night.“
Zizhen beside him grinned happily. He had his face covered with a cloth, covering his mouth and nose with a bucket hat, just for no one to recognise him.
After Jingyi paid for the room, the old man showed them the way. Zizhen, as soon as he arrived inside the room, threw his body on the bed.
Jingyi rolled his eyes. “We will be spending our night here and then, we'll leave tomorrow,” He said.
Zizhen looked at him, perplexed. He didn't say either yes or no. Ever since he met Jingyi, only one question has been bothering him.
“Jingyi, have I see you before?“
