"That was an amazing surgery!" Reed Adamson exclaimed, plopping down next to Charlotte in the cafeteria. Charlotte was alone, the table in front of her coveted in empty jello cups.

"Good," Charlotte mumbled, keeping her head down. She didn't want to be reminded of the surgery she handed to her sister.

Reed raised an eyebrow at her. "What's with the jello?"

Charlotte shrugged.

"What's your problem? You're all mopey."

Charlotte didn't answer. Instead, she took another bite of jello. Reed took the cup from her sister's hands and tossed it across the empty cafeteria.

"What the fuck, Reed?" Charlotte snapped, glaring.

Reed looked at her sister in shock. They had never fought; she didn't think it was in Charlotte's nature, but this was proving her wrong.

"What is wrong?"

"You stole my fucking surgery!" Charlotte snapped, tears threatening to spill from her eyes. Reed looked at her in disbelief.

"No," she said, "I didn't. You gave it to me."

Charlotte scoffed, tears building up more in her eyes. She stood, leaving her sister with the mess of empty jello cups and left the cafeteria.

She had been avoiding everyone at work. She didn't want to see Charles, Alex, or even Jackson. Jackson would know something was wrong, and she didn't want to tell him that Alex Karev took her virginity and left wanting it to be forgotten.

The experience wasn't something Charlotte could just forget. It was amazing to her, something that could only be rivaled by a lifelong trip to paradise; the experience with Alex Karev was paradise. Alex Karev was paradise, but the paradise was not Charlotte's. Alex was someone else's, Izzie's. Was Izzie coming back, though, or was Alex soon going to be single?

Charlotte hoped he would. She wanted him, and the sex only made her realize that.

"Adamson!" A perky voice called out. Arizona Robbins jogged to Charlotte's side.

"Hi, Dr. Robbins. How was the transplant?"

"It went great, but I wanted you there, not your sister."

Charlotte sighed, "I wanted to be there."

"Not enough. You gave the opportunity to Reed," Arizona said, crossing her arms against her chest. "You just gave away the transplant that I gave you."

Charlotte couldn't stop the tears that fell down her face. She knew she screwed up. Arizona's face fell when she saw Charlotte cry.

Arizona hugged the girl. "You don't have to take care of your sister. You have to worry about your future."
