Adriana's pov:
I opened my eyes and took in my surroundings. Well, another boring week of my boring life.
I'm home alone like always. My parents are working almost all day, everyday. We don't have that bond that a child should have with their parents, so it doesn't bother me when I'm alone.
After I stretched I slowly stood up and got ready for school. You know the usual: cleaned my teeth, changed from my pyjamas into something more presentable, then I rushed down the stairs with my backpack in my hands and quickly ate the breakfast that was on the kitchen table.
Now I'm on my way to school. I would say I hate school, but I don't, I just hate people. Why? I don't remember growing up, my parents are like two strangers and the friends I had were friends with me just because of my parents money or my body.
I had a best friend for like six years. We parted ways when I lost my virginity at fifteen. We were always the two sweethearts, the innocent girls and when I told her I was going on a date with the fuckboy, she said it wasn't a good idea, but of course I didn't listen to her when the only thing on my mind was him. When I told her the other day what happened, she said I wasn't that girl who she used to tell her secrets to anymore. Guess what happened. She is now the biggest whore of the school and I'm the insecure girl hiding in oversized hoodies.
Oh, I forgot to tell you that she is also my bully.

I'm now sitting alone, eating outside under a tree. It's already lunch and everything I can think about is how much I want to lock myself in between the four walls of my room.
I can feel that someone is watching me. I turned around and saw Layla and her group laughing and looking at me. Layla? Oh yeah, the bitch I used to call my best friend.
I never told anyone what happened between us and that she bullies me. Mostly because i have trust issues plus it could get worse and I don't need that.
I stood up to walk away, but before I could they came and surrounded, so there was no way to escape.
"What are you doing here you little nobody? You know this is my place, right?" Layla said in her high pitched voice which made me roll my eyes. She then grabbed the lunch I was holding and threw it to the bin. Well, there wasn't much in it anyway.
"What is you're place, Layla? The school?" I asked and tilted my head. "Hey! Don't you dare talk to me like that you slut!" She said and put her hands on her hips. "Talk like what? Like you deserve to be talked to?"
Maybe it was a little too much from me, but I had enough and I was angry. I know that the way she acts is just a mask and I also know she is still a virgin though her 'friends' think she isn't, because she made up a story where she had the best night of her life with some Chase named guy who miraculously disappeared the next day.
She moved her hand up and was about to slap me, but I grabbed her wrist and pushed her arm back. I had no idea where I got that reflex from, but I was glad it was there. "Remember when you told me I was turning into something else that day?" She looked me in the eyes, but never said anything. "You were so angry with me and ended our friendship like it cost you nothing. Why? So now you can be that something else?" I whispered in her ear so no one else can hear.
I let her arm go and straightened my back. "I did it because I cared about you!" She screamed into my face, but I didn't even flinch. "No, you didn't. If you did, now you would be standing beside me, not against me."
I looked at her one more time before turning around and walking away.

I was running and laughing all the way home. I couldn't stop. It started to rain and in a few minutes I was soaking wet. I loved the rain and I was happy.
I finally stood up for myself.
When I arrived home I threw my backpack into a corner of my room, put on some music and went to take a hot shower so I won't get sick from the rain.
While I was in the shower, mum got home. She didn't care if I'm okay or if I'm even home. She just went to her and dad's room and shut the door.
I shook my head and got out of the shower.

I was reading a book when my phone started to ring. I picked it up smiling: "Hello?"
"Verró domani. Essere preparati" Said a male voice and in a second he hung up. (I will come tomorrow. Be prepared.)
"Wait! Who?" I asked but I didn't get an answer anymore. The smile on my face disappeared faster than a blink of an eye. I just understood how someone spoke to me in Italian, but the worst thing is that he said he's coming and I have to be prepared.
What is happening?!
