Luca's pov:
It's two in the morning. I couldn't sleep the whole night. We're leaving in three hours, so it's probably time to get up, but I just can't. More likely I don't want to.
Cuddling with my naked wife after last night is scaring me even more. I just can't imagine how she would feel if I wouldn't bring her sister back home or if I wouldn't come back home. Or what if something happens to Johnny? She can't lose the three people she loves the most.
I slowly slid out of bed without waking her up. I went to take a shower and dressed up. After I came back I looked at her. She was peacefully sleeping with her lips slightly parted. I smiled then I reached for a drawer.
I went to her office last night and wrote her a letter after she fell asleep.
I put it down on the bedside table next to a red rose. Then I kissed her forehead and left the room.
When I walked down the stairs I noticed Johnny sitting on the couch in the living room, sipping his coffee. He looked a little tired.
"Are you alright?" I asked when I was close to him. He turned towards me and nodded. "Yeah, just stressed out." We stayed silent for a while and I wanted to go check on the others, but Johnny said he did it already and that everything is prepared.
"So, is it here?" I asked. "What?" He looked at me and sipped his coffee. "The thing for Roxy." I reminded him. "Oh yes, she's right here. Come." He said, put down his cup and looked beside him. "She?" I asked and walked closer. "It's a girl. Roxy will love it." I smiled imagining Roxy's happiness when she'll see it. "I hope not more than me." "What?" Johnny looked up at me with confusion. "Last night I told her that I love her." "WHAT?!" His eyes widened, but I ignored it and continued. "And she said that she loves me, too."
"I didn't see this coming." He said looking at the little thing beside him. I looked at him with raised eyebrows. He felt me staring at him so he looked at me and panicked. "I mean not this soon. You know, not long time ago you were kind of enemies and now you're lovers and-"
"Alright, I understand." I straightened my back. "We should get going."

Roxy's pov:
I turned around and reached out for Luca. When I couldn't find him I opened one eye, and saw that he isn't in bed with me. I sat up and looked around the room. Then I listened if the water isn't running in the bathroom, but Luca wasn't here.
I was about to lay back down, but something catched my eyes. There was a single red rose on the bedside table, on Luca's side, and some piece of paper beside it. I crawled closer to it and saw that the paper is an envelope. I grabbed a t-shirt from the floor, that turned out to be Luca's, and put it on. Then I picked up the envelope and leaned my back on the bedframe.
When I opened it there was a letter folded half inside. I took it out, put the envelope down and unfolded the letter. When I read the first sentence I remembered what day it was today. He went to find my sister.
