6:16 am. I'm in the shower and I feel the nerves start to kick in. It finally hit me, I don't know anything about this place or anyone in it. What the hell am I supposed to do? What if I get lost? It's 5 freaking floors.
I quickly get out my shower and run into to my room. I wrap a towel around my head and start to get dressed. Skinny jeans aren't the best option right now but I have no time to change my outfit.I run back into my bathroom and apply simple mascara and eyeliner, and decide to apply light red lipstick to add some colour to my dull outfit. I look at myself in the slightly smoggy mirror and like what I see. I walk over to my bed and put on my shoes. I grab my bag and wallet and make my way down the stairs and to the kitchen.
7:23 am. I have 22 minutes to eat breakfast. I decide on a bowl of Fruit Loops and a glass of apple juice. I finish up quickly and look at the window. Both cars are still outside, which means my parents are home.
I run to my Fathers office and am glad to see him sitting at his desk.
"Father, how exactly will I be getting to school?"
"I will drive you of course."
"Drive me?"
He looks up at me in shock realizing what he just said.
"Oh honey I'm so sorry. It completely slipped my mind. "
"No no it's fine. I can ride my bike. I can get directions from Google. "
"Are you sure honey?"
"Yeah it's fine. Bye Father."
I walk out of his office and head to the front door. I look at the time. 7:36. I plug in the address into the maps app and wait for the fastest route to show. After a couple seconds the route is set and I'm on my way.
It takes me about 10 minutes to get there and I still have a lot of time to get my books and go to my locker. I push my bike into the bike racks and lock it. I start to make my way up the stairs and to the front doors of the school. Once I step inside its like the entire world has stopped.
I know people are looking at me and I hear people whisper things like "Who's she?" and "Where'd she come from?". I don't let it bother me as I continue walking down the front hall, I decide to pull out my schedule and so I start to look through my bag. Bad idea. I feel myself hit something hard and I almost fall but I catch myself.
"Watch it whore."
What the hell? I look up slightly at the person I bumped into. He has blonde short hair and his eyes are stormy grey . I look away and say something I know I will regret later on.
"Trust me if I was a whore, you'd be last person I'd be jumping on. "
I start to walk away but not before he talks back.
"What did you say?"
"Do I need to repeat it?"
There's a crowd now. Small but still a crowd.
"Yes actually, I don't think I heard you properly. "
"Fine. I said, if I was a whore you'd be the last person I'd be jumping on. Happy?"
Some people gasp and some start to laugh. Even I'm surprised by my sudden boost of confidence. He opens and closes his mouth a couple times until he decides not to say anything.
"What? Cat got your tongue? Or is this too much for your ego to handle?"
He's getting angry and I can see it in his eyes. I decide to stop and turn around swiftly and walk away. I hear a locker slam and I know that it's his. Mr. Egotistical.
