Xander and I have been sitting in the living room for a good 2 hours. He made us something to eat and told me almost everything about him.
Big things like how Joelle is his twin sister, and not his ex-girlfriend. He hates his parents because they are apparently snobby, they hate Asher just because of his tattoos and cigerettes, so they think he is a bad influence. Asher also happens to be his best friend, they have known each other since they were children. They also don't support his dreams of joining the military. He hates all the money that they spend on useless things such as country clubs, and wish that he could take it and do something good with it. Also how they care too much about their reputation and what other families think or approve of.
Small things like how he hates being called a coward and that his favourite colour is green. He loves horses and dogs. His favourite food is lasagna and he prefers baths over showers. He plays rep soccer and is a competitive swimmer. He also likes short hair on girls and likes short girls in general. His favourite superhero is Spider-Man, and if he could have one wish it would be invisible for a day.
I'm smiling because of all the little things he mentions like how the sunset times are changing but now in the early fall 7:38 is perfect. He finishes off and it's quiet for a moment before he talks again.
"So, it's your turn. "
I look at him for a moment before I tell him all I can.
I tell him about Milo, my horse, and how I love to sail. How I quit soccer for medical reason and how I love rugby. I open up a bit more about the accident and tell him about each of my friends and my favourite memories. I tell him about my new house, how my parents are never home and how I'm basically living alone in a castle. I tell him about their jobs and my life in America. I tell him why I moved here and how I hated it at first. How I was planning on shutting everyone out. I tell him everything and he listens. He doesn't move or fidget, he just listens.
When I'm done he brings his hand up to my face and wipes away what a tear.
"You know princess, you're pretty great. "
"You're not to bad yourself. "
He lets out a small laugh.
"You know what princess? Here's what's gonna happen. I'm gonna walk out and come back in and ask you out on a date. "
He gets up and walks out and I am surprised. He comes back in and sits beside.
"Hello Miss! Would you mind doing me the honours of going out to dinner with me?"
I can't help but laugh at the way he is speaking.
"To formal?"
"Perky, too "
He gets up and walks out and does it all over again. He does it at least 13 times before he finally thinks he got it right.
"April. Will you go out with me to dinner tomorrow night. I know a great restaurant 20 minutes from here, and I have a feeling you'll love it. "
I smile and nod. He smiles at me and starts to walk away.
"Where are you going?"
"I have to make a reservation!"
I let out a small giggle before everything hits me like a slap in the face. Date. Tomorrow. Holy shit. I quickly get up and start looking for Yasmine and Laura. I remember they are down by the water and I quickly run down. I find them sitting at the edge of the docks, their legs dangling into the water and they were munching on Yasmine's granola.
