Ranboo closed the door softly, joining Tubbo on the paved sidewalk outside of his house.

"Ready to go?" Tubbo asked.

"Yeah, it might be nice if I could find my hoodie though." Ranboo jokingly threw shade at the fact that Tubbo had stolen his hoodie and had been wearing it the past few days, not once returning it.

Tubbo snorted in laughter. "But I'll be colddd..." He whined, looking up at Ranboo with big eyes.

Ranboo ruffled the smaller boy's hair, smiling. That wasn't going to work. "I brought your dino hoodie." (GUYS I GOT A DINO HOODIE ITS COMING AROUND MAY 11TH IM SO HAPPY WHEN IT COMES IM SHOWING YOU A PICTURE I'LL WEAR CLOUT GOGGLES AND A MASK FOR IT)

Tubbo accepted the exchange with a disgruntled mumble. "But you've got to give it back."

Ranboo sighed, smiling. "Fine."

The two walked, hand in hand, just talking about anything and everything, pointing out the beautiful stars filling the sky. As it was 4:30AM, there was no one in the streets, and most people were sleeping deeply enough to not be woken up by the muffled sounds of two 17 year old boys goofing off on their walk along the pier.

"Let's go to the beach, it looks so pretty, with the moon reflecting on it!" Tubbo grabbed Ranboo's wrist pulling him down the creaky wooden stairs leading to the beach. The two laughed as they ran and twirled down to the calm ocean, it was so nice that they had met up. There was something so much better about being able to love someone when you weren't an ocean away. When you could give a hug, hold a hand. When you could see someone laugh along with you, or see their face flush when you jokingly flirted. Tubbo had learned that Ranboo's ears flushed red whenever he would flirt. It was cute, he wasn't going to lie.

"Tubbo, c'mon!" Ranboo called out, he was sitting maye a foot away from where the water would periodically reach, patting the space right next to him. Tubbo sat down, snuggling into Ranboo's shoulder, enjoying the smell of his hoodie. There was a reason he loved the hoodie, it smelled like Ranboo, like vanilla and sea salt. It was a nice smell.

"I've missed you so much." Tubbo said. "We'd never met, but I missed you like hell all my life."

Ranboo smiled, his face flushing, feeling like there was a sudden rush of something warm running through his veins, like liquid love, liquid happiness. "Same." Tubbo's hair was nice to play with, Ranboo found it was extremely enjoyable to braid the front of his hair almost subconsciously. "I feel like I've felt like that, missing something I ever had. And then I met the person, but couldn't see him in real life for too long."

Both boys were smiling, cuddled up together on the beach, the moon was bright in the sky, reflecting on the dark greenish-blue ocean, the stars forming huge constellations, the waves gently lapping on the shore a beautifully calming music like noise. "Loneliness," Ranboo began. "Is something you don't feel until you see or meet someone who can help you. You don't notice until you can't get to them. And I think that's what happened to me, when I met you. I didn't think I was lonely, but then we started talking every day, and it's like the hole in my heart just got bigger and bigger. But now I'm here, and I am so glad I met you, Tubbo. I always have been." Ranboo put his arm around the smaller boy, pulling him closer and smiling peacefully.
