i am sad im not writing this in my usual doc and now my chapter numbers and outline are all messed up :((
this chapter is a demon from when it was 2am and i drew a little scene where c!tubbo found out ranboo was binding with an ace bandage :'D
but whooo! hurt/comfort transboo contenttttttttttttt
canon characters!
TWS: unsafe binding, small panic attack, anxiety, mentions of and little bits of description (not sexual of course) of afab chests, mentions of binding bruises and scars, and internalized transphobia
if you have any trouble with dysphoria i promise you are valid and a real man/woman/gender non-conforming person/ect and you can feel free to dm me and we can rant about it to eachother :))
enjoy ig!

Ranboo yawned, wincing at the pain in his chest when he lifted his arms up. He knew that binding with bandages would make his chest hurt and he knew it wasn't good for him, but he'd rather have bruises and an aching chest than be kicked out by his husband because he "wasn't a real man." It had happened before, not in this specific situation and not even in this SMP, so Ranboo didn't quite remember it, but he remembered that it was bad, that's for sure. He also knew that he hoped he'd finally be put in the right body this time around, but he supposed whatever big scary men were ruling over the universe decided; "Nope! Dysphoria and unsafe binding for you, kid!"
"Boo?" Tubbo said, pushing Ranboo out of his daze.
"Yeah?"
"I asked you what those bandages are! Are you hurt?"
Oh, no. No, no, no. How did Tubbo see them? He wasn't supposed to know about that, Ranboo had done everything in his power to make sure there was no way Tubbo would find out Ranboo was AFAB. But no, Ranboo was fucking stupid and now Tubbo knew and everything was going to be horrible and Ranboo would be homeless and-
"Boo? Hey, hey, hey, calm," Tubbo said, trying to grab his husband's hands to steady him, but Ranboo just pulled away at the contact. "Boo, I need to know what's wrong, please? Just breathe."
"No, no, no..." Ranboo mumbled, barely hearing the things Tubbo was saying. Although maybe Tubbo was yelling at him, and he wouldn't want to hear that.
But soon enough, he became more aware of his surroundings, and realized that Tubbo wasn't yelling and didn't even look mad, he was just rubbing Ranboo's back in slow circles and whispering; "You're alright, big man, you'll be okay, just breathe."
So Ranboo's breathing calmed down, slowly, yes, but it was happening. When he had finally stopped panicking, Tubbo tilted Ranboo's head up to make eye contact.
"Now, boo." Tubbo said, his voice monotone enough that it made Ranboo's heart start beating faster again. Was this where he got kicked out? He really hoped it wasn't. "Who the fuck did that to you?" Tubbo spat, his words like poison. Well, good poison. The kind that wouldn't hurt Ranboo. And he was relieved for that, but he still had to explain.
"Uh, well..." Ranboo began, swallowing deeply and gasping for a breath. "I'm... Um..."
Tubbo cocked his head to the side, confused.
"So, just know, nobody hurt me, I did that."
Tubbo pushed a piece of his husband's hair behind his pointed ear, eyebrows creased downward and a concerned glitter in his eyes. "Boo, no! Don't do that, oka-"
