October 9th, 2019 8:24 pm The crowd screamed "thank you Jericho!" as the inner circle stood side-by-side in the ring. Brooklyn leaned next to Sammy as her father began to talk into the microphone. He yelling at the cheering crowd to quiet down, disrespectfully. Though he loved his fans, he had a reputation to uphold.
So, he began his journey of cutting another iconic promo introducing the Inner Circle to AEW. The wrestling legend began pacing in front of the five wrestlers behind him, recapping the audience of the episode prior. Then, he began the introductions.
"Let me explain who we are, and what we're about," he spoke, turning towards his daughter and smiling. Chris Jericho extended his arm towards Brooklyn. The smaller woman accepted his embrace and he wrapped his arm around her and hugged her gently. "This girl right here: this is my daughter, Brooklyn Jericho."
The crowd began to cheer as Brooklyn smirked. Her hands fell into rock signs as she stuck her tongue out in true, rocker fashion. Her beautiful features made her skin look like she was glowing in the spotlight, attracting everyone in the audience.
"She may be young, but this beautiful girl standing beside me has been training for this moment since she could walk. She is my daughter, after all," Chris continued, Brooklyn internally feeling grateful for this moment to finally meet the world. The crowd cheered for the legacy being written, knowing that the Jericho name will go on.
"Brooklyn is the strongest woman I've met, who earned her way into this company because of her hard work and determination, not because of her last name. In no time, she'll be holding women's gold, that's for sure," he finished. Chris knew he didn't need to say that Brooke earned her spot, but was looking out for her well-being. Hate comments could be harsh sometimes and he didn't want Brooke to get hurt. Though her confidence was high, it couldn't stop her from the real insecurities she faced outside of the ring.
In the background, Sammy clapped for the petite woman as her eyes found his. Though he was attractive, Brooklyn's heart eyes towards the boy was nothing but acting. There was no doubt though that if the time came, Brooklyn would enjoy a night with Sammy.
Chris' transition to Sammy began. "Look at this guy right here: Sammy Guevara. Look at him."
The boy began to flex his abs and stick out his tongue as Chris described him, using words like "Spanish god" and "sexy." Then, he pauses for a quick moment before smirking. "And he is on my list."
The crowd cheered at the reference as Chris continued on, noticing his daughter eyeing Sammy and choosing to block it, comically. Brooklyn had bit her lip when Sammy had been showing off in order to further tell a story, which the fans were thoroughly enjoying. It was the matter of could this group already be having problems internally, or are Brooklyn and Sammy going to become a couple with Chris' blessing?
