The next day, Mimble and I were playing Monopoly in the living room when my brother came in.
"Hey, girls," he said.
"Hey, Alex," I said.
"You girls playing Monopoly?" asked Alex.
"We sure are," said Mimble.
"Nice," said Alex. Then his phone buzzed. He pulled it out, and saw that he got a text from Ben, saying that there was trouble in the city near the capitol, for Victor's robots were destroying buildings right, left and center. He told us about it.
"That totally sounds like a problem," I said.
"I agree," said Mimble, "and we have to resolve it."
"But what about your game?" asked Alex. "Aren't you going to finish it?"
"We don't have time to finish it, Alex," said Mim. "We have to stop some evil robots from destroying the whole city."
"Mim's right," I said. "We have to save the city."
Alex sighed. "You're right," he said. "Saving the city is the top priority. And that's what you have to do."
"That's right," I said. I turned to my sidekick. "Let's go, Mim."
"Right behind you!" said Mim, then she and I bolted out the door. Alex then looked at the game that Mim and I didn't clean up.
"Looks like I gotta clean up their game for them," he said, "as if I'm their butler." He then cleaned up the game and put it on the shelf with all the other games. Then he went to his lab to work on a new experiment.

In the city, Victor's robots were doing a ton of damage to almost every single building. As soon as Mim and I reached the scene, we saw the robots, and everyone running for cover, even Ben. Mim and I flew down to him, told him to get to his house, and began to think of a way to stop the robots.
"How about we go army style?" asked Mim.
"Good idea, Double M," I said. "There's a gun store nearby, and I think some pistols might work on these robots."
"Great," said my sidekick. "But we don't want to get hurt by their attacks, so we need to be protected. What we need is a wall, a strong brick wall, and I know where to get some bricks and cement. BRB."
My sidekick then ran off to get some bricks and cement. She found some at a construction site, then she asked the workers if we could use them, and they said that we can, so she brought them over to where I was waiting for her.
"Where were you?" I asked.
"At a nearby construction site," said Mimble. "I saw that they had a bunch of leftover bricks and cement, so I asked them if we could use them, and they said that we could."
"Sweet biscuits!" I exclaimed. "That's great. Let's get building."
Mimble and I then built the wall four feet high with two gun holes. Then we went to the gun store to get the pistols.
By the time we were at the gun store, we saw many different types of guns. The owner, Billy Bullet, was behind the counter reading the daily newspaper, and he folded it up when he heard the door open.
"Hello," he said. "Welcome to Billy's Gun Store. I'm Billy, and I'll be helping you today. What can I get you?"
"Hello, Billy," I said as I introduced myself and my sidekick. "We would like some pistols, please."
"How many?" asked Billy.
"Two, please," I said. "We need them to fight some evil robots."
"Certainly," said Billy. He went into the stockroom, and grabbed two pistols, two holsters, and eight cases of ammo. Then he returned to us and put them down on the counter. "Here you go, girls. Two pistols. I even got you some holsters and eight cases of ammo."
"Thanks, Billy," I said.
"We really appreciate your service," said Mimble.
"No problem, girls," said Billy. "Good luck out there."
"Thanks!" I said as Mimble and I ran out of the store.
We returned to where the wall was still standing, knelt behind it, and aimed our guns through the gun holes.
"Ready, Double M?" I asked.
"Ready as ever," said my sidekick.
"Okay," I said. "Ready, aim, fire!"
We fired our guns, and the shooting scared the robots, for they looked around, trying to find out where the shooting was coming from. Then one of the robots saw the wall that Mim and I were behind.
"It's coming from behind that wall," said the robot.
"Could it be some superheroes?" asked another robot.
"Maybe it is," said a third. "Who knows?"
"I think you're right," said a fourth. "I'm going to go check."
The robot went over to the wall where Mim and I were shooting our guns, looked over it, and saw us. He ran back to his fellow robots, and gave them the news.
"It's superheroes, alright," said the robot. "And they're the ones we have to stop for our master."
"Then we should get to work," said the first robot.
"Right," said the other robots.
The robots then fired their missiles at the wall that Mim and I were still behind, shooting our guns. I was the first one to hear them fire their missiles.
"They're attacking us," I told my sidekick. "Keep shooting."
"Got it," said Mimble.
We kept on shooting until there were two robots left, one for Mimble, and one for me. We then decided to use some hand-to-hand combat against them. We then jumped over the wall, and we started fighting the robots.
"You're going down, you stupid robots!" said Mimble as she punched the robot she was fighting.
"You guys won't get away with anything!" I said.
"You got that right, LG," said my sidekick.
"That's what you think!" said one of the robots.
"You superheroes are going down!" said the other robot.
"Yeah, right!" I said. "It's you who's going down!"
"That's right!" said Mimble. "The city needs us!"
We continued to fight the robots until they were defeated. I looked down at them.
"Nice try, you guys," I said. "We got you this time." I turned to my sidekick. "Come on, Double M. Let's head home. It's almost dinner time."
"Right," said Mimble. "I bet it's spaghetti."
"I love spaghetti!" I said. "We better get moving."
"Right behind you!" said Mimble.
We then went back home, just in time for a nice spaghetti dinner.

Over at Victor's house, he was as mad as a bull because his robots had failed at getting rid of me and Mimble. He really wanted to get rid of me and my sidekick, but since his robots didn't get the job done, he had to come up with a new plan. He decided to dress in clothes that'll make him look like a normal citizen, pretend he's my friend, bring me to his house, weaken me with my weakness (he figured it out already), drain me of my powers, and make my powers his. He then built a machine that'll drain me from my powers, then waited for the right time to execute his plan.
