My Second Rescue

It was another fantastic day in the city of Lansing, and my car was was having some engine trouble. Alex and I were working on it when Mark came into the garage.

"Hey, guys," he said.

Alex looked over at him. "Oh, hey, Mark," he said.

"What are you doing?" asked Mark.

"Just working on Lucy's car that I got her," said Alex. "It's having some engine trouble."

"Oh, okay," said Mark. "I was wondering if I could take Mimble to the dog park. Is that okay with you?"

"Sure," I said. "You can do that. I don't mind. The leash is on one of the hooks over on the wall."

"Alright, thanks," said Mark.

"No problem," I said. "Have fun."

"I will," said Mark. He then grabbed the leash, and left the garage.

As soon as Mark left, Alex and I continued to work on the Lightning Mobile (that's what I call my car). The thing is, we had no idea what Mark was really up to.

"Alex, can you pass me the screwdriver?" I asked my brother.

"Sure thing," said Alex. He then grabbed the screwdriver out of the toolbox, and handed it to me. "Here you go."

"Thanks," I said as I took the screwdriver. I then reached into the engine, and tightened up some screws before slamming the hood. "There. That should do it. Let's start her up."

"Roger that," said Alex. He reached into the cab of the car, put the key in the ignition, and turned it. The Lightning Mobile started up beautifully. "Alright!"

"She sounds good as new," I said.

"She sure does," said Alex.

Then we heard something coming from the front yard, and it sounded like an evil voice. "Come on!" it said. "Get in the car you silly dog!" Right away, I knew that was Victor's voice, and he was up to no good again. Then I heard my sidekick yell for help, and I knew that she was in trouble. I had to save her. I changed into my supersuit, got into the Lightning Mobile, and sped off to save my sidekick.

Over at Victor's lab. my sidekick was locked in a cage, and no matter how hard she tried, she couldn't get out. Then Victor came walking into the lab.

"What do you want with me, Victor?" asked Mimble. "You know that I don't like being here."

"All I want you to do is to help me with my experiments, and get rid of Lightning Girl," said Victor.

Mimble knew that she would never betray me at all. "Never!" she said. "I'm loyal to her! I'll never help you!"

"Suit yourself," said Victor as he headed to the door that led out of the lab. But before he could even get there, I just made it to the main door, and kicked it opened.

"Release my sidekick now, Victor!" I shouted.

Victor turned around, and he was shocked to see me in the doorway. "WHAT?!?!" he exclaimed.

"Alright, LG!" said Mimble. "I knew you would make it!"

"You better let Mimble go right now," I said, "or you're going to get your butt kicked."

"Is that so?" asked Victor.

"Yup," I said. "Besides, what are you planning to do to her?"

"I'm going to turn Mimble against you, and have her work with me," said Victor.

That made me mad. "That's not going to happen, Victor!" I shouted. "She's my sidekick, not yours!"

"You're right, LG," said Mimble.

"Now I say we fight," I said. "Whoever wins gets Mimble."

"Deal," said Victor. The battle then started.

I punched Victor in the chest, and when Victor tried to get me, I dodged the attack with a flip, and I kicked him in the back before using my lasers on him.

"Ow!" said Victor.

"Come on, LG!" cheered Mimble. "You can do this! I know you can!"

The battle continued. Victor then threw a brick at me, but I dodged it. I then zapped my enemy with a bolt of lightning, and it knocked him out. I then grabbed the key to the cage, and unlocked it. Mimble was so happy to be free. We then made a dash for it.

Victor woke up, looked at the cage that Mimble was in, and he saw that it was empty. He was mad. He then decided to capture my family by building a cage big enough to trap them in, then take them to his lab, and make them work with him. He then got right to work on making the cage.
