2 weeks after Emily and Declan escaped...............
Emily was awake in bed and Hotch was asleep when she heard the door open.
"Mommy" - She heard Jack say.
She got up and walked over to Jack.
She got down to Jacks level and asked "what is it baby"
"I had a nightmare can I sweep wif you and daddy" - Jack asked.
"Sure baby, come on" - She said and picked him up and lied down with him she put him on her chest and he fell asleep.
"Emily" - Hotch asked.
"Yeah" - Emily said.
"Why did he come in here" - Hotch asked.
"He had a nightmare" - Emily said.
"Oh. Okay" - Aaron said.
"So, can we talk about what you said about Declan" - Emily asked.
"Emily-" - Hotch started.
"No Aaron, we are going to talk about it now" - Emily whispered angrily.
"Okay" - Hotch said.
"Why won't you accept Declan" - Emily asked.
"I don't know why. Maybe because I know who his dad and his mom are" - Hotch said.
"I can't stay with you if you can't accept Declan" - Emily said.
"Emily I love you and I love Declan I just need a little bit more time to accept him" - Hotch said.
"And that is okay I just need you to stop telling him that please" - Emily said.
"Okay sweetheart" - Hotch said.
He leaned over his son to give her kiss. She hesitated at first then leaned in and planted a soft kiss on his lips.
He started to get into it but she pulled back.
"Aaron your son is right here idiot" - Emily said while pointing at the boy on her chest.
"Oh right, I forgot about that" - Hotch said with a grin on his face.
So that night Emily, Aaron, and Jack fell into a peaceful slumber.
