The two boys ended up walking home together after Coach Ukai treated them all to dinner.

'Why'd Daichi seem so aggravated back there? He sounded so jeal...could it be?' Sugawara's heart thumped, remembering the chilling tone within Sawamura's voice.
Could it be that Daichi was jealous by the way Oikawa was flirting?
'So does that mean I have a chance?' He hopefully thought, a smile growing on his face.

"U- Uh, did he hurt you back there or anything?" Daichi spoke suddenly, snapping Sugawara out of his daze. The dark haired captain had an expression on his face mixed between concerned and resentment.

"Nah, he was just playing around." Sugawara reassured, chuckling.
It was true, but it wasn't what it looked like.

"Oh...okay." Daichi awkwardly responded. The atmosphere had gotten very tense, as both boys had something going through their minds.
Sugawara mind was filled with possibilities of the dark haired captain reciprocating his feelings but Sawamura's...had nothing to do with the silver haired boy.
"Actually, I was wondering if I could get your input on something?" He asked Koushi.

"Sure, what is it?" Sugawara cheerfully responded, still lost in some sort of daze. But that daze soon faded when he heard what question the dark haired captain asked.

"You see..Michimiya actually confessed her feelings for me today, and I don't really know what to do." Daichi nervously chuckled, but Sugawara's heart dropped to his stomach, wanting to know what response the dark haired captain gave.
"I like her but-"

'I like her, huh.' Those words stung Sugawara like pins digging into his skin, and under his flesh.
His desires and hopes that Daichi liked him back just shattered like a baseball through a window. But what could he do?
"You should accept. You two will be cute." The silver haired boy bitterly responded, his hair covering his eyes despite it not being too long.
"Sorry, there was just something I remembered I had to do. G'night." He waved, walking in the opposite route they normally took.

"Good...night?" Daichi waved back with perplexity. He didn't understand why Sugawara's tone of voice changed so quickly from joyous to devastated.
'Did I say something?'

"GYAH, WHAT'S WRONG WITH ME?!" Sugawara flipped out, almost to his home. He was flailing like a bug being sprayed by bug-spray.
The silver haired boy was losing his mind, and extremely upset with himself that he just ditched Daichi for no reasonable reason. Of course he felt upset and all but, he took his jealousy out on the dark haired captain.
Deep down, he knew his feelings were valid but he still felt bad about it.

'Now I gotta apologize so it isn't awkward tomorrow.' He deeply sighed, kicking a rock down the road.

---

Well that's what Sugawara was planning to do but, both boys were busy all day. They were separated into different groups in their classroom, as they actually had to do their class's community work.
Daichi and Koushi were both group leaders, and they were seperated on the opposite sides of the school.

"Hey Sugawara, can we take a break? It's hot out here." One of the silver haired boy's classmates groaned, wiping the sweat off of their forehead.
Koushi nodded, letting them all know they could go and take a break for now. After all, they have been working for around 3 hours already.
While Sugawara went over to get a drink from his water bottle, a girl came walking up from behind him.

"Sugawara, hi!" Michimiya tapped the silver haired boy on the shoulder, startling him once he heard her voice. He forgot that she was in his group for the cleanup.
He gave her a slight smile, wondering what she wanted.

"What's up, Michimiya?" Sugawara asked the short haired girl who looked like she had something she wanted to say on the tip of her tongue.

"Well I wanted to ask you something..." Michimiya anxiously fidgeted with her fingers, now making the silver haired boy extra curious on what she wanted.
Perhaps she was going to tell Sugawara that she and Daichi were dating?
Or maybe she's given up on him because he doesn't reciprocate her feelings?
Koushi waited in anticipation, listening closely for her question.
"You're in love with Sawamura..right?"

The short haired girl spat out a question that caught Sugawara completely off guard. His face flushed a bright, scarlet red, giving Michimiya her answer.

"I see...well this is a bit awkward." She awkwardly giggled, still fidgeting with her fingers as she looked down at her shoes.
"I know you could tell but, I too have a crush on Sawamura." She sighed, scratching her head. She thought of Sugawara like a good friend so she didn't really know what to do.

"Do you plan on telling Daichi about my feelings?" Sugawara looked down, clenching his fists at his side. He didn't want Michimiya to tell Sawamura since it could potentially ruin their friendship.

"No, of course not!" Michimiya frantically waved her arms, never daring to think to do that. "But I want to tell you...I don't plan on giving up on Sawamura." She continued on, making Koushi's fists clench tighter that his nails were digging into the palm of his hands.
It sounded like she was somehow challenging the silver haired boy. Challenging him to see who would win over Daichi's heart.

Both of them stood in a bitter silence, the tension in the air getting ready to be sliced by a knife. That was until Sugawara opened his mouth and spoke...

"Neither will I, Michimiya." He said in an almost menacing tone that irked the sweet girl.
"I'll confess, and Daichi will be mine." The silver haired boy made it sound more like a threat than a promise but, it sure caused a chill to run down Michimiya's spine.

Hmph.

'Bring it on Michimiya.'
