I finished shoving back all of my chocolate chip pancakes, making sure I didn't accidentally choke and die.

"Perfecto, mi amor!" She said.

"Linguistic I see." I replied monotonously. She laughed and shut the fridge door after scanning through it for some water.

"Alright, let me do your dishes and pop em' in the dishwasher before we head out, 'Kay?" She said. I nodded and handed her my plate with a little bit of sticky syrup and crumbs remaining.

She gladly took it an sighed happily while walking over to the sink to rinse it off. I stood up and brushed off my apron, making sure that there wasn't anything wrong with my work-wear.

I hesitantly walked over to my bag, not that I was scared of it or a anything, but I wasn't sure if Sam wanted me to begin to head over or not. I sat down next to my bag on the small grey bench with my favorite white blanket as I tied my shoes up. I quickly double-knotted my black all-star converse.

Once I finished, I looked up to my best friend asking if I can tie her apron up. I nodded.

As I was tying her black apron and she did her hair with a few clips or bobby-pins here and there, she decided to kick up a conversation.

"So, what do you think will happen on your first day back, huh? You might see 007! Y'know, Danny? Oh, maybe Keith? Oh la la!" She said. I rolled my yes knowing good and well that Keith was far from my type.

He had platinum blonde hair as bright as a blanket of snow in the hot sun. His eyes were very brown, almost black. He had nice teeth and smile, also an revamped alcoholic, revamped meaning in rehab, and a great personality. But we were just friends. He just didn't care for the 'friends' part.

Don't get Keith wrong, I loved him as one of my best friends, and he loved Dabi... ish. Before Dabi died, he cared more about my safety rather than Dabi's. And that hurt.

This once, I got my car wrecked into another car while I was racing s newbie. They actually crashed into me because I swear, I was the only one on that track with a sense of direction. Anyways, I crash, caused a pileup with Dabi in the third car by the way the newbie crashed, ya-dee-da-dee-da, and Keith ends up carrying me out of the car and setting me gently down on the floor while letting Dabi limp his way over to me because of his leg. FYI, his knee got wrecked from it. But he was fine, just needed a cast for a bit.

So, back to it. I knew that I had to avoid Keith as much as possible. If he is there.

But I hope he is not.

But, on the other hand, I do want to see Danny, just because his jokes are the best.

I looked at Sam and rolled my eyes after my internal debate. "What is it?" She asked. I walked towards the front door and stood in front of her, picking up my small purse with my phone, wallet, and bar slash car slash house keys.

"Well, what it is is that I don't like Keith as much as I used to. He was a dickwad to Dabi and I betcha, still is. He disrespected my relationship and the person who was in it with me. I don't want a bitch as a boyfriend. And I refuse to play nice with him.

"Well, sorry. But.. um anyways, we should head out now, yeah?" She said while picking up her purse as well. I nodded.

I scanned through my purse upon realization that my phone was actually still charging upstairs.

"Hey, uh you go on without me, I need to grab my phone. See ya across the street 'Kay?" I told her. She nodded and opened the door, shutting with a thud.

I ran up the carpeted stairs into my organized-mess of a bedroom and jumped onto the comforters and throw blankets + pillows. I layed on my stomach as I unplugged my phone from its charger. I got up and put it in my pocket.

Finally, I was ready to go. But before I left, I wanted to see Sam opening up. Sadly, that slow-ass was still walking across the street.

I lifted myself up of of my white table and looked down at it, seeing a photo n a frame.

Shit.

It was a photo of me and Dabi. A random stranger was holding the phone as I was next to Dabi, kissing his cheek. As for him, he was holding my ass and gripping it while smirking. His other hand was on the small of my back.

God I miss him, but I don't have time to grief and be in a pile of my own tears. I brushed off the remaining melancholy mood and kissed my index and middle fingertips, pressing it to the glass of the frame. "Love you baby." I whispered to the photo while I set it back down into the fitted dusted-perimeter.

Then, I walked out of my bedroom and headed downstairs into the living area. I hope it goes well, you could say.

"Hey girl,"Sam shouted to me as I stepped into the homey bar. The lighting was a beautiful orangish yellow, but not too overbearing. Quite romantic, s this was a fancier bar for the higher ups, but that doesn't mean people of different social classes couldn't come in as well.

I walked over, my black lace-up vans dropping to the floor with a small bang. She was already onto the sanitization-step of the day, which is what we have to do before the customers arrive so everything is ready for them.

"Hey, so, I got a call from the bar a few blocks away. They said that they were open all night and they aren't as stocked or energized as we are, considering we have a bar filled with pound cake and the perfect remedies for hangovers-"

"As well as two perfectly awake bartenders!" I chimed in.

She laughed," yes, and two perfectly awake bartenders," She mimicked.

I stuck my tongue out at her and walked up to her. "So, they want us to prepare for the hungover-games?" I asked while giggling. She nodded while gesturing to the kitchen.

I nodded back and walked into the kitchen, preparing the pound cake to be eaten and the coffee to be served.

While I was drying the pans after washing them up, pounds upon pounds of poundcake cooling in the large fridge, I heard the heel above the door whistle with glee. Our first customer of the day. In my case, of the month. Or so.

I set the pan down with a thunk and walked out with a mug, preparing the coffee and a plate of fresh sponge-cake.

"Hey, gorgeous." Someone said to Sam. I looked at them, and voila.

It was Danny.

"Well, is that Kana ? The infamous Kana?" Danny said.

Well, this is one reunion to never forget ey?
