After three solid minutes of nothing but her testing how far my patience can stretch, she hangs up. "Done yet, doll face?" Danny smiles. She looks at him. "Smart mouth me again and I'll ruin (Y/N)," She says her name smoothly.

"I've known her longer than you think, babe. I knew the name was fake all along, and so did my boss. We're not idiots, FYI."

So Vic knew about the alias. Well, who cares. (Y/N) Is the kind of person to jump in front of a moving train just to save someone she loves whether you like it or not. She can be dismissive, but at least she cares.

"Why do you want her so bad?" I needed to know. Vic could've fucked some other men rather than Touya after he died. When Victoria pushed (Y/N) into the dirt, she could've left with a bitchy goodbye or something. So, why was she acting like this was her only option? Why does Victoria want him so bad?

"Gotta run baby-cakes," She salutes us off and walks into a portal, heels clicking and all.

I cannot with her. Not anymore.

I run over to (Y/N) and pick her up. Her eyes are rolled back, barely open, but she's still breathing. I carry her through the open and wide doors, probably garage doors for trucks and cars or whatnot.

I gently lay her on my shoulder but only feel my muscle crushing her chest. I'm sorry.

I lay my scarf down and the extra jacket I brought in case we'd be here for a while and put her body on that so she wouldn't get sick on the cold and dirty floor. I sprint out to the car and pull open the door with as much might as I can muster.

Almost ripping the door off its hinges in the process, I dig through the console hastily. Finding the two first-aid kits in there, one bigger than the other, I grab both. I tuck the boxes into my belt and hem of my pants.

As I run, they begin to fall a bit, but I can adjust them when she's attended to. I drop to my knees once I arrive and breathe heavily as I sanitize the wound.

Danny and Sam freeze.

Back to the Present in (Y/N)'s view

I hadn't noticed we had begun walking, but I'm not angry. He explained his story in much detail. I swallow harshly and grimace a bit, needing to tend to the cut soon. If we find Touya, maybe he can help me.

"So, overall, you're fine now and so is everyone else," He states firmly. His lips purse slightly and he tucks away his hands into his sweater's pockets. I nod and start looking around for anything that could resemble Touya being there. I do it as unnoticeably as I can. Shouta didn't say anything, or at least from what I remember, about not wanting to look for him some more. He just told me that they had already searched. Maybe they missed the small parts?

"Are you seriously looking for him, right now?" Ouch. "Well, that wasn't totally passive-aggressive. I just want to know where he is," I say in return. He looks away from my shoes. "Well, my bad, but I didn't get to look for him. I mean, I know him best, so I might be able to locate him easier. And then, we can infiltrate the room he's in." I'm trying hard to be optimistic. But Shouta, on the other, is perfectly transparent. He isn't even attempting to hide what he feels.

We turn down another hallway and get further and further away from the group, and the only safe exit I can think of. Semi-safe exit.

I get a little nervous.

"Shouta, I don't think he's here. Maybe he might be-" He cuts me off.

"He's nowhere, (Y/N)! Leave it alone. Jin was lying," He shouts. I almost start to cry. Yes, like a baby.

"How do you know Jin was lying, I mean he did say she'd be there, and she is!" He rolls his eyes and continues wrapping his scarf using his elbow and his hand. I wait for a response as his skin begins to get red and angry, a color I hadn't seen him strut before. "Well, he was wrong." I look him up and down.

"No, she cut my throat, Shouta! Do you need me to rip off the bandage!" I want to tear it off so badly just to prove to him that it wasn't all in my head. "I know! I know, (Y/N)! I was the one that picked you up and carried you into here, (Y/N)! I was the one that cleaned the wound and ran to the car for the first-aid kit, (Y/N)! I was the one that dressed the cut, (Y/N)! Me! It was all me! It was always me and you goddamn know it, too!" He was seething. He was close to blowing steam out of his nose and ears.

"What do you mean, 'It was always me,'? It wasn't always you," I tell him. He looks me up and down with tears dangerously close to falling out of his gorgeous red eyes. "Yes, it was. Before him. Before Sam. Before everyone else, it was me," He whispers while leaning into me.

Huh?

"Before him, what do you-" He looks at me like I'm stupid.

"Touya! Fucking Touya! Before Touya, I was there. For you. I wanted you, and I still want you. I've been here the entire fucking time and you still want him? You know he's alive somewhere. Why wouldn't he try to escape this place? Why wouldn't he try to get you back if he wasn't one-hundred percent with you? Huh?" His face is mere inches from mine. I begin to cry.

I don't want to cry. I want to be okay. But I'm not.

I told myself earlier that this would be an easy choice if I could confront Shouta and prove to myself that he didn't love me. That he just was using me for a good fuck.

But I was wrong. So, so, wrong.

"You--want me? Like-" He must have a newfound habit of interrupting.

"I want you. I need you. You. Your personality, the good, the bad. I need your body. I need you, (Y/N)."

I almost fall over. He just confirmed, proved to me, that he loves me.

Touya loves me.

Shouta loves me.

How do I choose? If I leave one, I break the other. If I leave the other, I break one. Why does everything I touch have to get messed up by me? I always ruin the good things.

Oxygen and water.

Water and oxygen.

It's impossible.

I need them both.
