The Next Epic

Training continues -Aadi

The next weapon was a bow and arrow. 

As usual, Aacharya trained us for a month. I and Vish had to wake up at 4 whereas the others at 5, the same usual stuff continued, but there was a lot of change in Vish's behavior, he was a changed man!! More focused at work, he had grown more fit than Pav and myself. He was practicing the hardest among us.

 He himself had cleared some forest in the opposite end of the island and had built himself a hut and slept there after having dinner here. I asked him the reason for his stay there a lot of times for which he just said- "I get a lot of time for improving myself over there and also very few distractions, so.. ". None of us actually knew where that place was. Only Aacharya knew it.

Once when Aditi forced me a lot, I and her went to search for Vish's hut. Even after going round the island 3 times, we couldn't find it. 

The super cool, extroverted playboy had suddenly closed the entry gates of his leisureliness. Whatever the reason was, it was very strong, or else, such a drastic change is impossible.

A month had passed by and it was the time for the friendly battle,
This time it was different, Aacharya asked all of us to stand in front of rows of continuous trees. He asked us to release our arrows and see how many trees it cuts down in a line, the owner of the arrow which cuts the most number of trees wins.
First, it was Aditi's turn, Shoom went the arrow cutting down 5 trees and hitting the 6th tree. Pav was the next guy, his arrow cut 3 trees. Next was Pari, she cut 4 trees, I just could cut 2 trees then came Vish. 

He took his position and raised his bow, set the arrow and shoom, it went... 1st down, 2nd down, 3rd down, 4th down, 5th down, 6th down, 7th down and it went half into the 8th tree. We all were awestruck. It was actually a record. Vish was actually in the race with Arjun, the then Prince of Hastinapur. 

Even Aacharya was surprised by this act. He praised Vish a lot... He had developed immense skills in bow and arrow. 

This was also continued in mace. The same thing happened, Vish displayed his outstanding skills in mace as well. None could stand in front of him after his hit from Mace. His one powerful hit was enough for a tree to completely come down.

The same was observed in Trident, here also he had mastered it. The lessons of the trident took a lot of time. 6 months had gone by in training for the trident. To be honest, we all had developed a lot of scars thanks to Vish's skills in the trident. The friendly duel was the worst. Each one of us had at least 5 scars contributed by Mr. Vish. Just as we were training, we got bad news-
That day, Narad Maharshi came by to the island and told that the air force of Shambhala was down. We all were surprised and sad at the same time. Narad Rishi also told Aacharya to speed up the training process. 

Aacharya called all of us and said that after our training in the sword, he will teach warfare, horse riding. "After learning them, you have to stay in Shambhala and draft a defense to stop Kali's forces. Aadi you will be the leader of this team." He said.

I was surprised, I thought Vish would have been the perfect guy for this role. I also went and spoke with Aacharya regarding this after Narad Rishi departed. But Aacharya denied and said that each one of us had our own roles here and I had to lead the team here.

After this drastic blow, even I became serious and started to practice tirelessly.

The next weapon was Sword. This also took 6 months. That means it had been a year and 3 months on this island. The relationship between myself and Aditi had grown stronger. It was the time for our next friendly battle. This time it was a duel and here each one of us had to fight with one another. The other duels were not much interesting. The important thing was that I had won 4 matches and so had Vish. It was the match between us now.
