Winter's Daughter

Chapter 2

        As she drove up to school, she saw Merida, Hiccup, and Mitchell waiting for her. "Where have you been?" Merida asked in her thick Scottish accent.

        "Woke up late," she answered as they walked into school. She was just closing her locker as the first period bell rang. "Well, better get to class, see you guys at lunch."

        "Bye!"

        "See ya!"

        "Later!"

        "Bye!"

        She walked into history and took a seat in the back of the room. She was getting her book out when she heard a "Hey Amy." She looks up and sees a guy with bright white hair, light blue eyes, and a blue sweatshirt.

        "It's Amelia, Jack," she spat at him. He is the most popular guy in the school and she hated him. He was flirty, rude, and obnoxious.

        "I like Amy better, Amelia is a bit fairytaleish."

        "What's wrong with fairy tales?"

        "Nothing, I just like Amy better."

        "Just stop talking to me and go away." She turned away from him and opened her history book.

        "Please sit down Mr. Frost, I am about to start," Mr. Brunner, the teacher, asked.

        "Looks like I can't go away," Jack said with a smirk as he sat down.

        The rest of the period went ok. After 4th period it was lunch. Amelia and her friends sat at their usual table, right in the middle of the nibble of the cafeteria. Jack and his "posse": North, Bunny, Sandy, Tooth,  and Kelly (Jack's girlfriend) and her cheer leading friends; sat to the right of them. Jack saw Amelia looking at them and he smirked. "Ugh, I just hate Jack, he's so obnoxious," Amelia complained.

        "He only bothers you," Merida noticed, "he just ignores us."

        "Ya, it's weird," Hiccup commented. Amelia looked back and saw Kelly and two of her friends walking over to them.

        "Hey can I borrow Amelia for a second?" Kelly said sweetly.

        "Sure, any time." Hiccup said, like in a trance.

    " I'm not sure," Mitch says. "It'll only be for a second," Kelly said.

        "I'll be fine," Amelia reasured Mitch.

        "Fine, but yell if you need help." Mitch whispered the last part in Amelia's ear.

        " Um, ok?" she says, confused.

        "What do you want Kelly?" Amelia asks as they walk out into the hall.

        "I have been trying to get you away from that satyr for weeks!" she snarls.

        "What are you talking about? What is a satyr?" she questions.

        "Oh, stop questioning me demigod!" she yells as her and her friend's Mist discuises start to burn away. Their hair turns to fire and they grow fangs. One of their legs turn into a hoof and the other turn to metal. 

        Amelia screams and Mitch runs in, grabs her hand and yells "RUN!" They run out of the building with Kelly and her friends at their heels. Mitch pulls out a reed pipe, while still running, and starts to play a song. Vines start to wrap around the empousi's ankles.They run up to an orange van and yells "GET IN!" amelia jumps in the van and Mitch copies her. the van takes off with the cheerleaders screetching at them.
