"Get the doctor Alesso"
Well shit.
This was Alesso's first thought when his wife went into labor. There was a big splash as her water broke, wetting the hospital floor. She wasn't due for another week, which was why the C-section was scheduled for this week.
Alesso immediately grabbed Camilla and led her to the bed before pressing the emergency button at the side.
"We still have a week left. He's early!" Camilla was panicking as she thought of the possibility why he was early.
"It's normal if he's early by a week. Give us some space to prepare her for the C-section." The doctor had walked in as Camilla was panicking.
"Alesso" Cam started crying and panicking the minute she heard the word C-Section.
"Shh, it's okay baby. They're going to numb you before they start the procedure and I promise you won't feel a thing. You know what? I'll be right there, all I need to do is change my clothes and I'll be right back here. Okay?"
"Okay" she was sniffing but at least she stopped crying.
"She'll already be numbed by the time you get back so it will give you enough time to calm down. There's nothing wrong with you or her freaking out, it's actually quite common with first time expecting parents."
Alesso only managed a small smile, so small you wouldn't see it if you didn't look closely. One minute flat he was done changing, sanitized and back in the room with Camilla.
Camilla was already prepped and ready for surgery. When they began, only the sounds of beeping could be heard from the machines.
Alesso watched as they spread a yellow substance on her stomach before they started cutting her open and his breathing was drowned out by the voices of the doctors and nurses.
"I'm scared" Cam whimpered as she held Alesso's hand tightly when she felt a little pressure.
"Let's sing a song then. Hmm? "
Camilla nodded lightly before he started singing.
"Before I held you, I didn't know
that the world I was in
was this bright"
Camilla laughed in delight because she knew that song all too well, she loved it. Her favorite TV drama Goblin, a sad but true love story and she loved this song the moment she heard it. That was mainly because it made her pores stand on end, made her cry and laugh all at once.
It gave her that feeling of comfort as she was locked up in this hospital, and hearing Alesso sing it to their son every day until he knew it word for word just made it more special. Ailee, I Will Go to You like the First Snow will always be a song he'll remember.
"I reached you with a small breath of life
it's a love that called out to me fearlessly"
Many times Alesso would flinch when they cut and tugged at Cam's stomach but he had to keep her calm.
"I liked it so much
Watching over you, my heart fluttering
Even when I was ridiculously jealous
All of those ordinary moments"
Alesso stroked her hair as she drowsily watched him sing softly.
Even the doctors and nurses watching them knew they a had a love deeper than any bond they had ever seen.
"In the dark eternity
in that long wait

It got more unbearable when he watched as they stuck 2 metal scissors looking things into her stomach and left it open to see inside.
"Before I let go of you, I didn't know
that the world I am in
was this lonely

This verse meant a lot to Alesso as he always remembered the day he lost Camilla.
"I started to become greedy
I wanted to live with you, grow old with you
Hold your wrinkled hands
and say how warm my life was"
Camilla remembered the day she woke up from anesthesia and her parents told her she could never see Alesso again, because to the world she had already died.
"It was just one blessing
after that short encounter
you cried like the rain

Happy for once
but that made you cry"
Finally, after what seemed like an eternity but was only seven minutes, he watched as the doctor reached in and started pulling his son out.
"Forget everything and move on
because I will go to you
when your breath
Calls out to me again"
Camilla squeezed Alesso's hands when she saw that head of black hair behind the curtain, just before a doctor blocked their view.
"I won't ever forget
Watching over you, my heart fluttering
Even when I was ridiculously jealous
All of those moments that you gave to me"
Alesso continued singing to distract his wife just a little longer until she heard his cry. He looked down to check on Cam when he heard it. A cry that could be heard a mile away from a baby that in his eyes looked so small.
The doctor came and rested his son on Cam's chest. His cries that were so loud, ceased when he heard his mother's heartbeat. They severed his umbilical cord before taking him to get cleaned. They took out the placenta, stitched her up and she fell asleep shortly after.
"Someday, we'll meet again
It'll be the happiest day
I will go to you like the first snow
I will go to you"
