I woke up to the sun beaming on my face, illuminating my features. It took everything in me to get out of bed, but when I did, I took a shower and got dressed. I felt like looking good today. Well I look gorgeous everyday but you know...

I got ready and headed out the door. I was pretty late today so I have to get going.
-
I arrive at school and was pulled into a closet by someone random. It was dark, I could barely see.  That was until the light turned on and a tall figure stood in front of me.

"What do you want, Hawk?"

"I want to talk to you."

"Make this quick, handsome, I do not have all day."

A light hue of pink brushed against his face.

He paused, looking deep into my eyes. I almost got lost in his myself.

"Uh, I want to restart. You seem like a cool girl. And I-" He sighed. "I'm sorry for how I treated you on your first day. Can we start over?"

I thought about it for a moment, "sure, let's start over."

Our hands met to form a deal, our eyes were locked on each others and it was hard to look away.

I wa pulled out of my trance when the bulb flickered for a while in the closet, his figure was not visible any longer. But I could feel him.

I could smell him too. Light cologne, and another flavor I couldn't quite pinpoint.

But when the light decided to turn back on, it was hard to ignore the tension in the air. And the fact that he was close enough so that our lips were almost brushing made the air even thicker.

The aura was too much, I pushed back.

Opening the door, I looked at him one last time. Both of our faces were bright red, my limbs were laced in goosebumps.

"Goodbye, Hawk."

"Wait!" He called.

"Yeah?"

"It's Eli. My name is Eli."

I smiled, "who calls you that?"

"No one," he paused again. "But there is something about you that makes it feel ok, you can call me Eli."

I smiled wider, "Goodbye," the name rolled off my tongue. "Eli."

Walking out of the closet, I quickly ran to my friends. But since the bell rang as I was about to approach them, I decided to go with Demetri.

"Hey Demetri!" I yelled as I ran.

"Oh, hey Scar," He said.

I walked next to him as we went to first period. I sat down next to Demetri as we talked for a while. The stares coming from Haw- Eli from across the room were unpleasant. He was shooting daggers at Demetri and I could not figure out why. His face was hard to read. Anger, jealousy, sadness?

It was hard to tell.

With a dramatic entrance, the teacher walked in and started to teach, but I didn't care. Messing around with Demetri was much more entertaining.

"Ms. Carina, and Mr. Alexopolous. If you have something to say to each other, I am sure you can say it to the class," The teacher put her hand on my desk and leaned over.

"Oh, Mrs. Woods, you do not want to know what we are talking about," said Demetri, and I elbowed him in the ribs. "Ow! Y-You know, because we do not want to interrupt class. That's why you wouldn't want to know."

"You have already disrupted the class by talking like fools." She  got off my desk and moved to his. "One more sound heard from you will lead you straight to detention. Do I make myself clear?"

"Yes," we said in unison.

She turned around and went back to teaching. My face was red and I had the biggest smile on my face.  Demetri too.

My gaze fell on Eli and he looked angry as ever. But whatever, It's not like we are friends. I do not need to check up on him.

But I did anyway.
