(hi hi!! this chapter is extremely important and i highly recommend you guys play the song come my way! at the specific time that i wrote it in hehe :) i have gladly attached the song to this chapter!)

giselle's pov

i held onto the side of my white dress trying my hardest not to trip over myself. i didn't usually wear heels but i made an exception for tonight. it was the dance after all and dressing up all nice made me feel all girly and pretty.

i quite liked it.

i entered the school gymnasium which had magically been transformed to a night with the stars. as much as quinn hated the theme, she did an amazing job leading the committee into designing this place.

it looked like paradise with all the silver star streamers hanging from the ceiling. the big crescent moon that i helped paint with the art society was hung up near the centre stage where the school band was to perform. tables were covered in dark blue with cute little cups that had stars on it and right in the corner was the set up for the photo booth.

it was all well done and i was glad it turned out pretty. life had felt so hectic the past few weeks that i didn't even feel the excitement of the dance, but now i was really feeling it.

i could see quinn and cora already on the dance floor dancing to madonna's into the groove. the nuns had a weird policy to only play old music as it is more appropriate, i personally think they're blinded by the upbeat sound of the songs to even realise the provocative lyrics.

oh well, i wouldn't complain cause they're all still bops.

"hey bitch!" quinn yelled, waving at me enthusiastically only for sister delilah to slap her hand for using foul language.

i laughed a little too loud i had to cover my mouth. leave it to quinn to forget she went to a catholic school, but i let her be. she looked too happy to even care with cora by her side.

i spotted zara and ben by the drinks table, she was adjusting his little bow-tie while he cluelessly sipped his punch like a child. jerry was next to them too, surprisingly he managed to snag a date to the dance at short notice.

the shameless instagram post was embarrassing but that's jerry for ya.

i didn't have a date and i didn't want one. i was hoping someone would be here with me tonight, but of course things got in the way and i don't even know where he is tonight.

i hope he's alright..

rodrick's pov

"roadies, you got the stuff?" i asked rowley and greg who both stared at me like i was an idiot.

greg rolled his eyes, "rodrick! how many times do i have to tell you that all the equipments in the gymnasium!"

rowley spoke up, holding greg back from his frustrations. "greg, let the man envision his rockstar moment. we are his roadies, remember?" he emphasised. "yes sir rodrick, the stuff is inside." he winked at me playfully.

"okay maybe it's better you don't talk," i shrugged, as we all got out of the loaded diper van and made our way to the back of st. mary's.

i gulped nervously, knowing damn well i wasn't allowed to be here. the security was tight about random people sneaking in, but if quinn's calculations are right. she'd be able to get me in from the back door of the gymnasium.

i brought the two nimrods along because i needed an excuse to go out without being questioned by mother. oh i am so grounded, again.
