giselle didn't realize how much she needed a girls day. it had been a while since the last time the trio genuinely hung out with one another and bonded like they usually did.

their day was filled with a full blown movie marathon of the stars wars prequels, after constant convincing from giselle, who wanted an excuse to drool over hayden christensen as anakin skywalker. zara and quinn gave in at some point and in the end they still had fun.

they were all sprawled out in quinn's living room, each of them having their own space on the carpeted floor, bowls of different treats and snacks spread out everywhere. it was practically a pig's sty and luckily for them, quinn's mother worked late.

"man, i love you guys." giselle spoke up, crawling her way towards zara and engulfing her in an embrace. "get over here quinn."

quinn chuckled in reply as she scampered her way to the girls, joining in on their hug. "i cannot believe we spent the entire day watching grown men fight each other with lasers." she snickered. "it was way too loud."

"oh god," zara whined, "you just gotta complain about everything." she giggled, smacking quinn's shoulder lightly.

"do not insult the force, padawan." giselle squeaked out, as she was squished between her two best friends. "and they're called lightsabers."

"sorry i didn't quite catch that—cause I'M PRACTICALLY DEAF NOW!" quinn grumbled, making them all bawl in laughter.

it was moments like these that giselle truly cherished. the three of them got along so naturally, it just always felt right. they could spend a whole month apart and by the time they got back together again, it would be as if nothing ever changed.

"what time is it man?" quinn questioned, standing up from her position on the floor. she picked up her phone and checked the time. "damn it's 8:30pm already?"

"i mean we did watch two hours each for three movies," giselle shrugged, also grabbing onto her phone.

much to her disappointment, she'd gotten no notifications. was it weird for her to wish rodrick had left a message? i mean she knew he didn't have to, but why did this feeling of wanting to talk to him cloud her mind? she loved their conversations and he was really funny.

he hadn't been online much today and it bugged giselle that she kept checking for a reply.

she decided to just push her thoughts aside and focus back onto her two friends. quinn was in the middle of a yawn when zara had whacked her mouth lightly, causing her to move back in shock. giselle laughed at their actions as she shook her head at them. "you guys are so weird." she snickered.

there was a short silence between the three girls until the sound of zara's ringtone rang loudly. "it's ben." she read out the caller ID. "he hasn't texted the whole day, i hope everything's okay." she said, walking out of the living room to answer the call.

quinn rolled her eyes playfully, "of course. her prince charming has come to hear from his highness." she giggled.

"hey, the girl's in love," giselle chuckled. "let her be."

quinn cocked her brow at her friend, a sly smirk making its way onto her face. "what about you huh? mr. rodrick heffley make you fall yet?" she teased.

"oh shut it," giselle retorted, trying her best to hide the growing blush forming on her cheeks. "it's not like that."

"then what is it hmm?"

"it's a friendship," she stated proudly. "we're just two people getting to know each other."

quinn scoffed, "pffttt. okay. sure."
