The return of the Marauders

Chapter 5

~Sirius~

Marlene pulls me aside. Away from everyone else in the common room so that no one can hear what she's about to tell me.

"Ok, so Frank broke Alice's heart. And now he wants her back because he was stupid," she rolls her eyes. "Now we're going to get him back. You're going to act like her boyfriend for a week."

"A week?!" She stares at me daring me to refuse and I know I can't get out of this one.
"Fine." I sigh, regretting having said anything at breakfast.

Alice walks in the common room. Before anyone can say anything to her Marlene pulls her up the stairs to the girls Dorms.

I don't know how anyone deals with Marlene. Just girls in general are hard to deal with. I sneakily walk back over to the couches and push James off his chair.

He lands flat on his face. I plop down where he was sitting.
"This is a REALLY comfy spot! Thanks for saving it for me James, you're a real chap." James gives me an annoyed face. I return him with a wide grin.

Remus and Peter start to laugh. James gets up from off the floor and gives me a fake smile, then pushes me.
He jumps onto the couch where I was sitting.

"Oh you want to go Padfoot?" He mocks. James pulls me from the couch and we're on the floor wrestling.

~Alice~
Marlene rushed me up the stairs and into our dorm. I don't know what this girl has planned now.

Marlene slams the door shut. Turns to face all of us, eyes wide with excitement, grinning ear to ear.

"What do you have planned now?" Lily asks her. Me and Mary listen curious.

"I have the BEST idea on how to get back at Frank!" Marlene states.

I eye Mary, worried about what Marlene could mean by that. Mary gives me a worried look in return.
This isn't going to end well.

"So, because Frank has messed with your heart too many times we're going to mess with his." Marlenes smile is so smug I'd think she was a Slytherin.
"You're going to date Black for a week."

My jaw drops. My eyes bug out of my head.

Me date Sirius Black. Ew. No. We're just friends. And besides I don't even know if I want to date anymore after Frank.

"Before you say anything you're not really going to date him. You're just going to make everyone think you guys are dating and mess with Frank." She looks at me longing for my answer. "And Black already agreed to do it. For a week you two will pretend to date."

I start to open my mouth to argue and shut her plan down, then I begin to think.
I could get back at Frank for breaking up with me.  And it would be fun to see his face when I'm with Black already.

"Ok." I finally say.
