The return of the Marauders

Chapter 9

~Lily~

All us girls headed out of the Great Hall and into the closest bathroom. Mary is always the best with makeup so she redid Alice's makeup and covered up her blotchy face she got from crying.

"There, good as new!" Mary announced then stood back so that we could look at Alice.
"You look so pretty." I told Alice.
She smiled and looked in the mirror.
"Thank you Mary, and sorry for getting so worked up with all this."

"Nonsense. It's all our faults," Marlene started to say but was met with a hard glare from Mary and me.
"Ok you're right, it was my fault. I'm sorry Alice. I shouldn't have gotten involved with you and Frank's relationship."

"It's fine. I just don't know what I'm going to do now. Frank seems like he's really sorry and I might still like him, but I don't want to keep having my heart broken, over and over, by him."

"Like Sirius put it, it's ok to not know what you want to do." I said and smiled at her. She then pulled me into a hug which quickly turned into a group hug.

"Ok,ok don't make me start to cry. I don't want to redo my mascara." Mary pulled away to check herself in the mirror.

"Let's go to Charms now." I suggested.
"Always the prefect, Lily." Marlene laughs. I roll my eyes and laugh too.

We walked into Charms, I barely saw Professor Flitwick, he was hiding behind the desk. The Marauders were, like normal, at the back of the class messing around.Of course James was throwing papers around and laughing his ass off.

He stopped talking to the Marauders as he saw me walking in. He had that stupid grin on his face and that glimmer in his eyes. We all sat next to the boys.

Sirius looked at Alice and asked,
"Are you feeling any better Alice?"
She just smile and nodded.

James plopped down in the seat next to me.
"Is Alice doing good ?" He whispered, the class was starting.
"Better. We helped her a little." I whispered back.
"You're so kind." James whispered in my ear then kissed my cheek.

I blushed a little and he put his arm around me. No one else noticed because we were in the back of the class.

I don't know how someone can be so pretty. Lily is absolutely perfect. How does anyone expect me to focus on anything with her next to me.

Lily's taking notes. Her nose scrunched and her face determined and focused.

How am I so lucky? She's my girlfriend! I still can't believe she finally agreed to go out with me. We're going on our first date Saturday at Hogsmead.
