I talked to Cody after school. He made my day so much better. It felt so good to hear his voice. He even sung a song to me.

That night I listened to Cody's album, Paradise, on reply. I couldn't stop thinking about him. His words meant to much to me.

The next day, after school the tickets for Cody's concert were here. My mom didn't notice the package, so I snuck it up to my room. My plan was to tell her that I won an online radio contest.

No one knew about the concert Cody was holding in Iowa yet other than his crew and the venue workers. So I decided to keep the concert tickets hidden for as long as I could.

3 DAYS LATER....

Cody announced his concert.

It was Friday. Meredith talked about the concert all day at school. Her parents wouldn't let her go. They didn't want to spend the money.

You don't know how badly I wanted to tell her that I got tickets. I was screaming on the inside.

I made a promise to myself to not give her the tickets until last minute.

Wow. Me and these dang promises!

SUNDAY, JANUARY 6TH...

Meredith was over my house. We went up to my room. That's when I decided to give her the tickets.

"So, uh, Meredith?" I started.

"Yess," She said.

"I have to tell you something," I said.

"Go on," She urged.

"I won Cody Simpson VIP passes from an online radio contest!" I shouted really fast.

Meredith screamed, ran around my room, and had an emotional breakdown. "You're the best friend ever!" She hugged me for what seemed like forever.

I opened the box and handed her the pass.

We both went downstairs. I hadn't told my mom yet.

"Mom, I won Cody Simpson VIP passes on an online radio contest," I told her. I gave her a pass.

"Oh, wow! When is the concert?" She asked. She seemed so happy.

"January 11th," Meredith and I both said.

"Yes, I'll take you both!" My mom said.

Meredith and I did a happy dance together.

"I wonder if Cody or Justin will remember us!" Meredith exclaimed. She was freaking out.

I knew they would remember us. This was so hard. I hate secrets.

"Yeah, I don't know," I lied. "It'd be really cool if they did though!"

"I'll text my mom and ask her if I can go!" Meredith said.

We waited for her mom to respond.

"AHHH!" Meredith screamed. "I CAN GO!"

"Yay!" I screamed back.

Meredith and I hung out for the rest of the day. I felt terrible for hiding something from her...

Cody called me after Meredith went home.

"Hey! Have you told your mom and your friend about the tickets, yet?" Cody asked.

"Yeah, I actually just did. Oh! I never told you my friends name. It's Meredith. She'd love it if you called her by her name when you see her! I'm pretty sure she'd freak out!" I told him.

"Aha, alright. I will. Not long now until I see you! Can't wait 'till Friday!" Cody said.

He can't wait to see me? Naww, he's so cute.

"I can't wait, either!" I told him back. "By the way, I told my mom and Meredith that I won the tickets online from a radio station. Just so you know," I informed him.

"Okay, that might be good information to know. That's pretty smart of you," Cody said.

Cody and I talked for some time after that.

I only had to get through this week to see Cody again. I can do that, I think.
