It seemed like the time went by so fast. Our parents came back from eating and seemed to hit it off well.

Before we knew it, it was time for Cody to go on stage.

Justin said it was okay if we wanted to sit and watch Cody from the side of the stage. Meredith, Alli, and I chose to do that. Our parents sat along the side and watched, too.

Some local musician started the show off. I don't remember his name, but he was okay. Cody came on after. They lowered the Cody Simpson sign and everyone screamed. Now, the concert really started. Cody's voice is so beautiful and don't even get me started on his dancing. Meredith, Alli, and I sang along to all Cody's songs.

Then, 'Not Just You Girl' came on and Cody looked over at Meredith and me.

We looked at Alli. She smiled. "Get up!" She yelled with a smirk. Did she know something we didn't?

Meredith and I both did and looked at each other.

Justin took two stools and put them on the stage. Cody came over singing, grabbed our hands, and took us on stage. I sat on one chair and Meredith sat on the opposite side on the other chair.

Cody went over to Meredith, held her hand, stood behind her, and rubbed her shoulders. Her smile never left her face. This would go down as the best day in both of our lives.

Cody then came over to me. He winked at me. He knelt down on one knee, took my hands, looked up at me, and sung. My heart skipped a beat.

He got up a bit and looked me in the eyes. Our noses touched. He got up completely, went behind me, grabbed my hands, and swayed back and forth. My heart fluttered.

I looked at Meredith. She was making a you're-so-lucky face.

Cody walked away and started singing. He was looking at Meredith.

I looked out into the crowd. The crowd was almost all teenage girls. Some in the front row shouted at me, "You're so lucky!" and "I wish I was you!" and "Don't worry, we got this on video!"

Cody finished the song by grabbing Meredith's hand and my hand. He pulled us close to him. He kissed me on my head and tried to kiss Meredith on her head, but she was almost the same height as Cody, so it was more a

cheek kiss. Yes, Meredith got a cheek kiss from Cody.

"Unfortunately, this was my last song. Thank you all for coming out today! I know the tickets came out on sale really short notice, but thank you for everything, Iowa. You guys are incredible! Best fans in the world! Good night!" Cody said. He waved goodbye. Then we all exited the stage together.

The crowd started to chant, "CODY! CODY! CODY!"

We walked back into the dressing room, because it was quieter there.

Cody took his in-ears out.

"Really good show as usual, Codes!" I said.

"Yeah, I agree!" Meredith said.

"Thanks!" Cody said back.

Our parents came in.

"Cody, that was so good!" My mom said. "You're a really good performer!"

Everyone came and told Cody how good it was tonight. Then Meredith, Alli, and I got out of the room so Cody could change clothes.

Meredith, Alli, and I talked. We talked about what we all like to do, to get to know each other better.

"I don't ever wanna leave. You guys are so awesome!" Meredith said. "Can I just be your best friend?"

"Aha, yeah we can be friends! You seem like really nice and trustworthy girls. We have a lot in common," Alli said. "Oh, um, how about we all exchange numbers?"

Wow! What? Alli's number, too? Were Meredith and I just that likable? I don't know, this is too much!

"Yeah! That'd be beyond amazing!" Meredith said. She was a little too happy, but I'm sure I was just as happy.

We all swapped phone numbers.

"Where's the bathroom?" I asked Alli.

"I think it's over there," Alli said point back over by the dressing rooms.

"Okay, thanks," I said walking away.

I was walking down the long hallway. I looked at my phone. I ran into something (someone?). I looked up. It was Cody. He was shirtless with his shirt in his hand about to put it on. I was gonna scream.

Damn, he's so fit.

"Oh, uh, sorry," I awkwardly said.

"Uh, yeah, it's alright," Cody said. He quickly put his shirt on.

"I'm gonna..." I said pointing the other way.

"Yeaahh," He said.

We both awkwardly walked away.

What the hell? That's all this night has been. Just a 'what the hell' kind of night.

I went to the bathroom and walked back to where everyone was.

My mom came up to me, "Alright, well, I think we should go."

"But, but, but, Mary!" Meredith said giving her the puppy-dog face.

"Yeah, mom," I begged, too.

"You know, they can stay with us for a little while. We will bring them back," Brad said.

"You sure?" My mom asked surprised.

"Yeah, don't worry about it. They seem like really good girls," Angie confirmed.

"Oh, alright," My mom gave in.

"Yay! Thank you, mom!" I gave her a hug.

"Thank you, Mary!" Meredith gave her a hug as well.

"Bye, girls! Have fun! Don't stay too late," My mom told us. "Nice meeting everyone. Happy birthday, Cody."

My mom left.

Alli, Cody, Meredith, and I went to the big sitting area.

I think the dancers went to a hotel downtown to sleep. Jeff did, too.

Brad and Angie walked in.

"We want to go back to the hotel with the others," Angie said. "So, why don't we all go back together?"

We all agreed and left for the hotel.

We all piled into a van. Brad drove, Angie sat in the passenger's seat, Cody and Justin sat in the seats behind them, and Alli, Meredith, and I sat in the way back.
