A/N: I don't own Smallville or any characters and places in the DC universe. Nor do I own the episodes that these chapters are based on and contain from.

I also don't claim to be a writer. My inspiration is simply to get a creative outlet going.

I only own Tyla Nevin and what pertains to her character story.

Lex felt himself being pulled over to the police cruiser by two officers, trying to get away from the jet of water that swallowed their comrades and Tyla Luthor.  They were dragging him away from where Tyla had once stood as he was pushed into the cruiser, but it was then that the noises started to get louder. He looked over to his right to hear shouting. It was muffled, but it sounded vague like run. He glanced over to his left and saw the dam break and crumble more. More water completely spat out and he shifted to kick the door open. It all happened so fast; the first officer holding the handle, fell forward just as the second one ran over to him. He reached to the door to force it wide open but then the water reached them. He could barely shout as the water completely engulfed them and the bridge. He felt himself collide forward, as the second officer flew back. The cruiser tumbled towards one of the beams, the door breaking but Lex was in the car. The force dizzied him into the water.

Tyla's body swirled in the water, narrowly missing a beam as she was plunged into the torrent. She managed to eye Lex in the police cruiser and tried to swim towards it as it sank to the ground. The force of the torrent was pulling her, but she struggled to swim over. The last thing that she saw was Lex barely opening his eyes and scrambling to get out of the cruiser before it sunk to the bottom. She looked up and a tree branch was heading straight for her. She tried to duck but she felt herself being caught in the branches, pulling her to the top. She gasped for air. "Lex!" She screamed. She tried to duck down but it was futile. "Lex!"

"Tyla!" It was Lex's voice. Somehow, he seemed to have surfaced.

She looked around and grabbed a large rock that was planted into the water. "Lex!!" She yelled, pulling herself up. She stood up straight and looked around. Off to the coast, Lex was pushed to the side of the forest. He rolled over, coughing for air. "Lex! Over here!" She waved her hands to get his attention as he looked over at her.

He struggled to get up. The cuffs were dented shut, tight around his wrists. "Ty...hold on, I'm coming to get you," he said. Somehow. He had to swim over, and he couldn't be at a deficit. Just then, he turned to hear a roar of water come forward. He turned to see more water coming towards her. Before he could even react, the water came for Tyla. It scooped her up. "Tyla!"

It was seconds that she was under the water. Her head hit the rock as she tumbled. She was barely able to come up for air. Every wave was unpredictable. She coughed, and a lungful of water came in. She felt her head pound and then all she saw was red from her blood. Then her vision turned black. The last thing that she could feel was a wave of heat and then she fell to the bottom of the river. The water finally became still.

She tried to fight. She truly had no more energy. But she still felt....felt arms wrapping her up and pulling her towards the surface. Then, after a while, there was no more water. She felt like she was being lifted up into the air. Was she dead? Or going to heaven? She willed her eyes open, but they were still blurry from the water. There was a figure. Someone was carrying her. "Clark?" She mumbled. "Can you finally fly?" But the figure didn't say a word. Instead, they lowered her to the ground. Tyla's vision started to clear and it was a woman. A blonde woman. Before she could even say something, she rested her down on the ground and then flew off to the forest.

Lex raced over as the water subsided. He saw Tyla drift away, hoping that it was not too far from him. He ran down the rocky shore and into the bend where there was barely any water left. The water from the dam left a flurry of destruction in its wake. After what felt like forever, he saw Tyla almost lying on the bank as if she was asleep. However, she was more than battered and bruised. "Ty?" He ran over and tried to lift her up. But as he looked her over, he noticed the dark gash above her brow. Her arm was broken as well. "Ty...honey!" He pleaded, placing his fingers just under her jaw to see if she was alive. Just barely. "Please wake up."
