A/N: I don't own Smallville or any characters and places in the DC universe. Nor do I own the episodes that these chapters are based on and contain from.

I also don't claim to be a writer. My inspiration is to get a creative outlet going.

I only own Tyla Nevin and what pertains to her character story.

BOOM!

A loud thundering noise echoed throughout the grounds of the mansion as Tyla walked down the stairs. The railing shook beneath her hand as a quizzical look etched on her face. Curious..... She found Lex in the kitchen, staring at the smoothie jug.

BOOM!

It was faint but ripples wiggled at the jug. Lex looked back at her. "Earthquake?" He asked.

BOOM!

Too rhythmic. "Well, it certainly isn't thunder," she replied, walking over to grab a couple of glasses but the cabinets started to shake. The glasses tinkered as she opened the cabinet door. Before she could even try, Lex reached up to grab a pair before they threatened to topple onto her. She made a face and then looked up at her husband before she splayed her hand over her stomach. "Thank yo-"

BOOM!

"Okay, booming tremors are on the list of Smallville's daily weird experiences," she pressed her lips together as Lex poured the smoothie into the glasses.

"Nothing is ever normal here, Ty," he handed her the glass and took a sip of his own. "I need to leave." He made his way towards the door before Tyla turned around with a look of shock on her face.

"Hold on!"

BOOM!

She closed her eyes and sighed. "I thought you were going to help me sort the valuables." Tyla slightly pouted. "You can't be going to work already." She knew that her mood was affected by hormones. However, "Lex Luthor, don't you dare shut me out just because I've left your company!"

The last words made him freeze. She was the only one who made him guess any decision he had. He turned slowly to face her. She looked frustrated, hands on her waist with a frown. But she deserved a right to know. "Do you remember the device that turned on Zod's ship?" He asked her.

"You found a piece?" Her inquisitive look was back. "Or you kept it after working with Fine?" She was about to ask something else but once again the room shook.

BOOM!

Lex scoffed in annoyance. "I managed to find metallic dust. From when the device disintegrated but apparently it liquefied," he started to say.

She blinked, ignoring both his and her own growing annoyance at the tremors. "On its own? That defies the laws of physics," she mumbled.

"It was apparently what my lead scientist had said. He had sealed it in an airtight container, and it was under surveillance 24/7. If anyone would know what that thing is, it would be you. You have...intimate knowledge."

"I'm a civilian now, remember?"

BOOM!

"Dust doesn't just turn to liquid and you're never just a civilian to me." He spoke. "You told me that you still remember your visions, your knowledge is still the same." He reached out and grabbed her wrist with her free hand. He led her out towards the corridor and to one of the paintings that hung there. It was a rather ugly-looking piece, something that Tyla didn't pick. The image of the red samurai made her sick. Or it could have been her body just changing as her child inside her. He handed her his glass and moved the frame, revealing a safe.
