"WHAT!" exclaimed Tony. "How? They can't do that can they?" He looked to Steve. Bucky was sitting down on one of the sofas in the living room. He had gathered all the people that knew about the 'situation' including Nat and relayed to them what Fury had said to him. When he said he had something to ask of him, it wasn't a choice.

He sighed tiredly. "I guess they can. There is nothing we can do about it anyways, like Bucky said She's arriving this afternoon." Declared Steve.

"How are we going to tell the others?" questioned Sam. "it's not like we can hide a murderer living in the compound."

Tony exhaled in frustration. "By the way, I found out where that bit of coal came from. Your 'friend' has been in France. Paris specifically." He looked up at Bucky.

"FRIDAY bring up the live stream from the cameras in the Holding cell" commanded Tony

"Yes Sir" replied FRIDAY. The AI brought up the feed from the cameras in the cell. The Ghost sat there calmly, despite being restrained to the chair she sat in. Her eyes briefly flicked up to the camera, as if she knew that they were watching her, but it was so fast Bucky found himself wondering if he had imagined it.

"She looks remarkably calm for someone who's being held as a prisoner. You said that after Steve, Nat and I took down Hydra she left and became an assassin for hire?" questioned Sam

Bucky looked up to him, "Well at least I assume. I was a bit busy with the whole 'being-a-fugitive-and-on-the-run-from-the-law-because-Tony-was-trying-to-kill-me-while-I-was-being-possesed-by-a-red-book" He said all in one breath.

"Well Ghost may have been acting out of revenge. I'm assuming there were a lot of people she hated at Hydra" remarked Steve

"Or maybe she hasn't been doing anything, just staying at home all day and watching Netflix!" Tony clasped his hands together, like he was talking to toddlers.

"Optimism is not a good look on you." smirked Nat

"Guys, please!" pleaded Steve. "Can we just take this seriously for a moment?"

Tony's grin slid off his face and was replaced with a stony look .

"Thank you!" said Steve frustratedly, but he had spoken too soon. The serious look on his face was replaced with a shit eating grin.

"Okay done!" cheered Tony. Steve rolled his eyes. Meanwhile Bucky all this time had not join in on the delightful conversation the rest were participating in. He was too busy thinking about Ghost. Did she know that we were watching her?

"I feel quite bad that we only call her Ghost" Said Nat. This surprised the rest of them in the room. Natasha never showed any sympathy to anyone she didn't know, let alone a murder.

Just then an interrogator entered the room. he walked over to stand in front of the cage.

"Lets try this again" He said but in Russian "как тебя зовут?"

                                                                                         (What is your name?)

The Ghost's eyes flicked back up to the camera, but this time Steve saw it as well. "Did you see that!" he exclaimed, pointing at the screen.

"Катерина Петрова" she replied. The interrogator looked surprised that she had spoken, he quickly tried to conceal it though.

Steve, Sam, Vision and Nat looked to him waiting for confirmation.

"She's lying." He stated simply.

"Well?" Tony said impatiently "We don't have all day."

"(Y/N)" He said quietly

"(Y/N)?" asked Sam, not quite sure if he had heard him quite right. Bucky nodded.

The group of them decided to let the rest of the Avengers casually know that they were going to be living with a murder, this was accompanied by a lot of "What!" (Wanda) and "is this a joke? (Bruce and Clint) so naturally the team were all on edge.

They let out their frustrations in multiple different ways. Tony was re-assembling the cooling system ("Leave it to Tony to fix something that isn't broken" Wanda remarked) Vision was attempting to cook, but as he could not tase anything, Wanda had to step in and help him fix it. it was far too salty. Steve had gone somewhere, and Sam was out for a run.

Bucky at first tried to read, but couldn't focus on the words in front of him, so he gave up and went down to the training room to let off some steam. He pulled another punching bag onto the hook.

Thunk

Fury's words echoed in his head .

Thunk

"She will live  at the compound with you. She will participate in missions and training, get her to trust you. Make her think that she is one of you.

Thunk

"Do anything to gain her trust."

Thunk

"If she questions it, say that she deserves a second chance. Her powers would be a good addition to the team anyways

THUNK

The punching bag flew off the hook and onto the floor. He was right ironically. She did deserve a second chance. He felt even worse when he was told that they would send her to the raft once she had told them all the information they needed. The 'raft' was a high maximum security facility - essentially a prison that could hold people with powers- floating in the middle of the ocean. He wiped  sweat off his brow and looked at the clock. 2:30pm she was scheduled to arrive at 3:00pm on the dot. He blinked, suddenly feeling all the blood rush to his head. He looked back up at the clock. It read 2:31pm. 'Showtime' he though.

By  2:50pm everyone was seated in the living room. The silence was deafening. Bucky looked around and saw Bruce 'reading' his newspaper. He could tell this by the fact that his eyes were not moving. Tony was tinkering with something on the counter and Wanda was playing with a ball of magic she had conjured.

Tick

He looked up at the clock, noticing how loud it was

Tock

He locked around. Tony's jaw was clenched and Bruce was holding his newspaper so hard his knuckles turned white.

Tick

All they had to do now was wait.

Tock
