❝You and Potter kissed, huh?❞

The brown owl that Harry had sent to Sirius with the dates of the Hogsmeade weekend turned up at breakfast on Friday morning.

Be at stile at end of road out of Hogsmeade (past Dervish and Banges) at two o'clock on Saturday afternoon. Bring as much food as you can.

"He hasn't come back to Hogsmeade?" said Ron incredulously.

"It looks like it, doesn't it?" said Hermione.

"I can't believe him," said Harry tensely, "if he's caught..."

"Made it so far, though, hasn't he?" said Ron. "And it's not like the place is swarming with dementors anymore."

"Exactly," said Y/N. "Have some faith in Padfoot, Harold."

Harry couldn't seem to meet Y/N's eyes these days, not since he had heard that she had agreed to go on a date with Alex. He hadn't mentioned anything about it to Ron but he was dead sure that Y/N had told Hermione about it, seeing the way Hermione giggled at Y/N every time Alex Walker and his friends walked past them.

Y/N was confused as to why Harry was avoiding her all of a sudden. Everything was going great between them. But now he wasn't even returning any notes to her during classes, so at some point, she stopped sending them.

Every time Y/N walked into the common room, he would leave the place. They used to sit together in the Great Hall and during classes but now, Harry had made a habit of sitting only near Ron.

Even when Professor McGonagall paired them up for practicing a spell, Harry insisted on being Ron's partner until McGonagall gave in and ended up partnering Y/N with Dean instead.

Y/N had tried talking to him on many occasions but every single time, he would just make a quick excuse and walk away from her.

She felt pathetic, trying to reach out to someone who didn't even care. She was always quite stubborn, can be really petty, and ignore someone for months if she wanted to but every single wall of hers seemed to melt away when it came to Harry.

"Still, I really think you should send a letter to Rebekah about it, Harry," said Hermione.

"Yeah- yeah, I will," said Harry.

The Quartet descended the steps to the dungeons to their Potions class.

Malfoy, Crabbe, and Goyle were standing in a huddle outside the classroom door with Pansy Parkinson's gang of Slytherin girls.

"There they are, there they are!" Pansy giggled, and the knot of Slytherins broke apart.

"There's our fan club!" said Y/N, with a mocking smile. "Waiting to get our autographs?"
