I watch Kiba closely. The fact that there were only males here around my Tsukiko had me on edge. As we walked into the cave Toboe ran up and hugged me. "You're back! You know you shouldn't run off alone like that Tsume! It's not safe. " He said. Tsukiko was smiling. "Well I didn't know you went that way Tsume. " she says with a wink. I growl thoroughly embarrassed. "I don't. "

Hige wakes up sniffing. His eyes open wide and he looks at the she wolf. "Wow who's the babe?" He asked drooling. I snarl causing the cream colored wolf submit. Tsukiko rolled her eyes. "Can it fur ball. Sorry about him. He's kind of an ass. My name is Tsukiko. I'm an old friend of grumpy here." She said gesturing to me. I glare at her. She met my eyes defiantly and I raised an eyebrow.

Toboe frowns. "Tsume isn't grumpy! He's just.... complicated. " I growl quietly. It was going to be a long night.

As I look around the cave at the males it becomes clear who got along with who. Kiba was the reluctant leader, an alpha in his own right who still had much to learn. That explained why he and Tsume butted heads. Hige was obviously the beta of the little pack. He was close to Kiba but could still call bullshit if need be. Toboe was more like an omega. He was extremely submissive but would fight if the need arose. Omegas didn't like conflict but would serve their alphas even if it cost their lives.

What interested me was the fact that Tsume, who was a natural leader and a dominant wolf was following a much lass experienced alpha. I knew it was difficult for him to submit to anyone.

I sigh and try to ignore Hige's drooling. As soon as Tsume bared his fangs in a snarl I rolled my eyes. "Can it furball. Sorry about him he's kind of an ass. My name is Tsukiko. I'm an old friend of grumpy here." I say gesturing towards the glaring alpha male. Toboe stood up for Tsume earning him some brownie points from me as well as a good laugh.
