A few days pass and I was walking through the streets of a domed city. I'd avoided Tsume since our little chat about my past. I'd gotten strange looks from Kiba, Hige, and Toboe since I'd been around. Tsume had been extra irritable too. I wonder if I'd done something wrong. Without realizing it, I stoped in the middle of a busy road deep in thought. Tsume's hand on my shoulder roused me from my thoughts. "Huh? What? " I look around and realized I was causing a traffic jam. "Oh... sorry." I hurry across the street and around the corner into an alley. I lean against the wall taking a deep breathe. "Are you okay, Tsukiko? " Toboe asked walking towards me. Tsume and Kiba were with him. Hige had been sent to get food. "Yeah... why wouldn't I be okay? " I lie with a forced smile. "You seem on edge... are you sure you're okay?" Kiba asked. I roll my eyes. "Yes I'm sure. It's nobody's business but mine." I say getting annoyed. Kiba glares at me. I glare back. "Don't glare at me, pretty boy! I give attitude, but I don't take it so back off." I growl feeling oddly defensive. Toboe whines. "Please don't fight. " Kiba takes a step forward and I growled dangerously. I'd fought dogs for twelve years, while Kiba would be a challenge he didn't have the experience. Tsume gets between us and gives me a Shut-up-and-play-nice look. I rolled my eyes and walk off. I go and find an abandoned building to rest in. I was going to be in heat soon and all of the males would become violent and start fighting. This wasn't good. I'd have to leave before the next full moon. I suddenly hear footsteps drawing closer to me. I open my eyes. "What do you want Grumpy? " I asked the scowling grey wolf that stood over me. I was laying down on a ledge. Tsume looks down at me. "You shouldn't piss people off right now Tsukiko. Everyone is to on edge because Cheza is gone and you're about to become a nympho. We don't need extra tension. " he said. I flinched a little. "Don't worry... I won't be around long enough to ruin your little pack life." He tensed watching me. "What do you mean? " I meet his eyes. "I mean I'm leaving. Like I said the other day, I'm a better lone wolf then I am a pack mate." He growls. I stand up and looked at the grumpy male. "Maybe we'll run into each other again some time." I say fighting back tears. He looked like I'd slapped him. "You want to leave? " he asked as though it was to munch for him to comprehend. I look down. "I have to... you know what happens when an unmated female goes into heat. " I said. He tilts my chin up and looks me in the eye. "Stay." He orders. I back away from him and into a wall. He walked towards me all power and strength and used his body to pin me to the wall as he pressed his soft lips to my own. My eyes widen in surprise but they fluttered closed as I kissed back.
