Paradise or Love (Based on wolf's rain)

Tsume

I glared at the arrogant white wolf. I'd be damned if he thought I'd let him near my female. Tsukiko moves to stand between us causing me to growl. I know she is trying to help but she could get hurt. I look at her. "Come here." I ordered her. I can see the urge to disobey me shining behind her eyes and I can feel the wolf stir in me. I needed her to listen to me this once. Realizing this she walks up to me and I wrap an arm around her waist. Kiba takes a threatening step forward but as he does Toboe ran up as cheerful as ever. "Good morning. " he said stopping as soon as he sensed the level of tension in the air. "What's going on guys? " he asked. He seemed worried like he always did when Kiba and I were close to blows. Tsukiko smiled at the pup. "Nothing. It's okay now, right fur balls?" She asked looking both Kiba and I in the eye.
With a sigh Kiba nods and walks off obviously frustrated and I couldn't help but smirk. Tsukiko noticed this and elbows me hard in the ribs. I growled at her and she grins walking off with Toboe to gather food for everyone. I go to check the area for human soldiers. It had been a rough week for everyone. We'd gotten Cheza back from a noble only to have her taken again. Kiba was hell bent on getting to paradise with or without the rest of us. Even so he was still a wolf with basic primal needs and let's face it, Hige was a temporary solution to that need. I could only hope it would be okay...

I notice that something is bothering Kiba when he gets back. It's probably just the fact that Cheza isn't with us. Oh well, she can't be the only flower right? After all, humans love to play God with the lives of others. I notice something strange about Tsukiko as I think about all of this. She smelled really good! Not like a flower like Cheza but like something spicy and sweet. Tsume had been so different around her lately. I wonder if he wants to mate with her?

I walked around the small city with Toboe looking for food. The strays had all picked the area clean aside from a few scraps of meat that nobody would want. It had been a week since our last meal but tomorrow was a full moon. We'd be okay if we basked in the moonlight.
As I was thinking this, Toboe looks at me and starts asking questions. "Are you and Tsume going to have pups? Why were Kiba and Tsume arguing earlier? Are you in love with Tsume?" He asked. I blushed red and look at him. "What gives you that idea?! " I demanded embarrassed. The pup jumped at my reply. "Well Tsume really seems happier with you here and I just thought-" I cut him off. "I'm not having pups with anyone. Ever. Got it?" I asked. He frowns. "How come? You and Tsume would be good parents. I could be the pups uncle! It'll be fun Tsukiko! " he said excited. I growled at him. "We can't even find enough food for the pack as it is, his do you expect to find enough for another pup or two? Besides, you're just a kid yourself. You don't know anything about raising one." I say. He whined and looks down. "I just thought....maybe we could all be a family. I never had a family before so I thought it would be nice... Granny gave me these when she found me." He said looking at the bracelets on his wrist. I sigh. "Granny was a human. One of the good ones. She could raise a scrawny pup like you. I'm a wolf and so is Tsume. I don't know if pups can live in a world lime this..." I say sadly.
