I growled at the female. She was so close to her heat I couldn't think straight. She looks at me seeming so calm. She said my name hesitantly, as though she expected me to hurt her or for me to be hurt. I relaxed some. "Why did you follow me?" She looks down. "Kiba told me to leave. I don't want to. I want to stay with you. " She said. I was shocked by the vulnerability in her tone. I relaxed some and sigh crossing my arms. She looks up at me. "I'm not asking you to forgive me. I just want to be near you." She said. I meet her eyes. "Idiot." How could I not forgive her? She was gorgeous in the moonlight and I knew she was afraid I'd betray her again. That I'd run away like the coward I used to be. She moved a little closer to me and I wrapped my arms around her. "I forgive you. I won't kiss you again until you want me to." I say quietly. She rests her head on my chest as I hold her. Above us the moon was shining. I couldn't believe it. She wanted to stay with me. For the first time since I was banished, I felt at peace.
