I get back to camp still in a bad mood. I divide up the food for everyone and lean against a tree. Tsume looks at me and came over. "Toboe told me what happened. You don't want pups?" He asked. I look down. "Pups aren't an option for us Tsume. The humans made sure of that. I want pups with you but I'll never get pregnant. " He frowns. "Why?" He asked as he collared the nape of my neck in his hand. The dominant move would have gotten anyone else's arm ripped up but from him I found it soothing. "I was held captive by humans and forced to fight dogs. They decided I shouldn't have pups so they performed a surgery on me that made me unable to conceive, though I still go into heat." I explained. Tsume let out a low growl. I wrapped my arms around his waist in an attempt to comfort him. Pups were important. They meant the survival of the species, though given our current destination, that was irrelevant.
Tsume wraps his strong arms around me and rubbed my back as I pressed soft kissed to his chest. I could feel the tension as it left his body at the contact. He relaxed and went to eat with the others. I yawned and laid down in my wolf form beside the tree and took a nap.
