Luckily, Ally had second period with me too, she actually had the same schedule as me except for fourrth period. She said she would show me to all of my classes, even fourth. I was yet again sat next to Christian. I hope this doesn't happen in all my classes. It's only second period and yet I already feel exhausted and he wasn't even there first period! Right now I was seated in Mr. Frederick's U.S. History class. Oh how I hated this class. Christian was sitting next to me but one of his friends was on the other side of him. So he wasn't really talking to me.

A moment before I had heard Christian say to the boy, "That girl has a cute stutter when she's nervous." He says nodding towards me.

"How do you know?" asked the boy.

"Well Elizabeth," he said, now looking at me, "Would you like to tell John about how I learned about your stutter?" What did he mean...? Oh. He means when I walked into him trying to find Mr. Stanley's room. He hadn't really heard me talk before that except when I said bye when he showed me and aunt Nikki to the main office.

"N-not necessarily." I stuttered again, but I'm sure this is just because I could see John now obviously staring at me. Don't get me wrong, he was attractive, they both were. Christian with his hazel green eyes and dark brown hair that looked black and John with his blue green eyes and light brown hair. They were both definitely attractive, there was no denying that. But it's unsettling to see someone staring at you intensely wiithout talking.

"Aww how cute, I think she's blushing. Oh, Elizabeth are you still sitting with us at lunch?" This got the attention of others around us. I don't understand why though. Isn't the 'skater clique' not popular? They haven't been everywhere else I've gone. Most people call the skaters outcasts at the other places I've been. Yet here, it seems like everyone loves them.

"Uhm.." Should I? Maybe I could just sit with Ally.

"I should probably tell you, you don't really have a choice since I already told everyone you are and you wouldn't want to upset people, would you?" Guess I don't have a choice.

"W-Why did you t-tell people?" I ask, confused.

"You know you don't have to stutter around me right? Or are you only stuttering because John's here?" It was definitely only because John was here. He had yet to say anything but I couldn't help but stutter around him. I sneak a look at John and quickly look back to Christian giving him a flat look.

"Ahhh, so it is because John is here. Guess you still find it easier to just talk to me." Why does he seem happy about that?

I give Christian another flat look as the bell rings. I stand up to go, Christian left already but John had grabbed my arm and stopped me. He looks down at me, since he is at least 5'9 while I am 5'4, and says quietly, "I like your stutter. It's kinda cute." Then he walked out as if he hadn't said anything at all.

Just those seven words made my stomach erupt into butterflies. Why was I feeling like this after one little conversation that wasn't even a real conversation?

I hear a bell go off and realize I am late to period three. I hope Ms. Grace is a nice person and willing to let it go since it's my first day. Now I just have to figure out where her room is. I really should have taken that map. I start walking down the hall in the direction of what I hope is my Algebra class. As I'm walking I hear what sounds like someone crying. Normally I'd keep walking to avoid talking to someone but for some reason I stopped. I don't know why, It could possibly be because it sounded like a guy crying which I found unusual.

I look around to see where the noise is coming from. I don't see anything until I look further down the hall and see a figure slumped over on the floor. I run over because I can see from here that he is either extremely upset or hurt. "A-re you okay?" I ask.
