I crawl out of bed as my alarm goes off. I shut it off and walk to my closet, rubbing my eyes. I pull out a pair of skinny jeans and a black v-neck. After I'm dressed, I throw on my favorite converse, grab my backpack and run down the stairs.

"Morning El." Aunt Nikki is the only person I know that calls me 'El'. She has called me that since the day I was born.

"Morning."

"What do you want for breakfast?"

"You know I don't eat in the morning."

"I'm going to ask you every morning until you tell me that you want breakfast.

I roll my eyes and say, "We need to leave or I'm going to be late."

"Oh, I didn't tell you? You're taking the bus today. I have to work. The bus stop is at the end of the street. You should go. It'll be here any minute."

I run out the door yelling, "Bye!"

As I reach the stop, I see three people. As I get closer, I see that it's Christian, Danny, and John. They look surprised to see me as Christian asks, "What are you doing here?"

"Uhh... W-Waiting f-for the b-bus. W-Why are you h-here?"

"Wait. You live on this street?!"

"Y-Yeah?" I make it sound like a question.

"SO DO WE!"

I give them a look as I say, "T-Together?"

At this, all three boys stare at me wide eyed, as they shout vairations of, "No!" "What?!" "Of course not?!" and "Are you insane?!!"

The bus pulls up so I just ignore them as they continue to yell no and get on the bus. After a moment they sit around me. John is next to me while Danny and Christian, sit in front of us.
They're quiet for a moment before turning and looking at me at the same time. Creepy.

"You were just kidding weren't you?" Danny asks.

I giggle a little and just nod.

They all roll their eyes at the same time. Again, creepy.

"So you're a jokester huh?" Christian asks.

I just shrug, not trusting myself to speak without stuttering.

"Are you trying not to stutter?" John asks.

How did he know? Was it that easy to tell?

"You know, we all find your stutter cute." Christian says.

I look at these three boys, confused. Did they talk about this? Why?

"W-Why?"

"It's different."

The bus pulls up to the school and I spring up trying to get off the bus but John is in the way. I say, "Excuse me." Why isn't he letting me off? The other boys haven't moved either. I stand there waiting. By now, there's only one more person on the bus.

"We want to be your friends." Danny now informs me.

"But, you need to trust us." Christian now says.

"Which means, you need to be comfortable enough with us to tell us anything." John finished.

"W-Why?"

"You seem like a cool girl." Danny says with a shrug. I lock eyes with Danny and he gives me a look.

"Okay." I say quietly.
